Were looking for things to do now that the kids are out and for those of us coming in to work having to deal with rain this morning. Were seeing much of the north bay not getting as much as the peninsula and the south bay and seeing some snow on some of our bay area peaks. Where we see the yellows and oranges indicates really heavy rain and transitions over to some snow and then were seeing a lot of green here across the south bay indicating some rain. And for the east bay more of the same as we see the off and on showers coming through. For the north bay, not a whole lot happening here except for some spotty, light showers and also starting to clear up at the golden gate bridge. Lets talk about how much rain fell over the weekend because at uvas canyon over 6 inches of rain. Thats not a disappointment with this storm system coming through and anderson reservoir. Moraga over 2 inches of rain. Dublin and san jose over an inch of rain and san carlos over an inch while oakland as well as San Francisco almost at an inch of rain. So were going to measure some additional rain going into the day but for the most part the storm system will be winding down. Still scattered showers moving through the east bay and south bay and in some of these downpours we can also get some light hail, some small hail, i should say, coming through for the east bay and south bay as well have the highest chance of seeing that as well as the sierra snow. Over the weekend weve gotten a lot of heavy snow. Additional snowfall totals may reach close to a foot over the next couple of days. Were going to see some temperatures in the midfits for today and then warming up by thursday the first day of spring and mostly sunny skies. Mike, youre starting with a crash in san jose.
