It does look to weaken as it moves into the bay area. A lot of rain chances drying up. We are going to have a chance of showers early on wednesday anboy on thursday. Other than that, we continue through the week with mainly dry conditions, of course well be watching saturday, thats the main day that were concerned about with the9ers home game here and another weather system dropping in. It does look pretty busy across the region, but no significant storms in the forecast. So with this first round of rain, were looking at trace amounts of rain in parts of the north bay, maybe about a tenth of an inch of rain to the inland east bay, to a quarter inch of rain in parts of the Santa Cruz Mountains and the north bay. This would be a little bit better for the sierra than it will be for the bay area, looking at some additional snowfall totals at lake level, up to about 5 inches and as you go up in spots like kingville, there could be up to 14 inches of snow and thats with the first round of snow that comes in. Well get some additional snow for the weekend and by monday, we may see that weekly total up to about 2 feet in parts of the sierra. It is looking pretty good.
