Two years ago it was calm in the morning when the tubs fire blew up and the winds whipped that fire into one of the most deadly and destructive fires in history. Ironically the county will not recommend these businesses use compostable containers instead. County staff says that those containers generate more Greenhouse Gases in a land field than polystyrene. If this ban passes it will go into effect on may 1st next year. The board is considering a half cent sales tax to Fund Transportation updates.
