Reporter some left, came back and went again, some only supposed to be deployed for two weeks but because of those pair of hurricanes that hit they were actually deployed for 22 days in texas and then in florida. About half an hour ago, 50 members of task force 4 arrive to an emotional heros welcome. There was plenty of cheers from family and coworkers, spending the last four days in the florida keys. They are among the first rescue teams who stayed behind to ride out the storm. This has been a grueling pair of assignments but that is exactly what they signed up for. Everybody is really, really proud and happy not only to have gone but to be home and share our stories and to be able to learn from the experience after having been down there so were even better able to protect our communities here. Reporter many of the Task Force Members were initially sent to texas where Hurricane Harvey initially dumped torrential rains, they were on that assignment and went from home to home looking for people who needed to be rescued. Now there are about 26 members of task force 4 that have not returned home, because that is they are driving all their equipment across the country. Those team members should arrive here in the bay area sometime wednesday or thursday, reporting live at Oakland International airport, im sergio quintana. Reporter more than 100 people came together on the corner of white road in san jose today to mourn the loss of the man they say police shot and killed here last night. 32yearold Jacob Dominguez. My kid was good, he was a good kid. Reporter jacobs aunt says she is frustrated the police have not told the family anything. We havent heard anything, no police, investigators, no nothing, not to my sister or his wife. We had to find out through the streets. Reporter she says jacob, a father of three was on his way to see his kids when he was shot. He was less than two miles away from seeing his baby. And we want answers, we dont know what happened. We dont know why, we dont know why he was shot at. Reporter in a Statement Police say they were attempting to conduct a vehicle stop on a suspect who had a felony warrant for robbery, after they conducted the stop, shots were fired and they were shot at at least once. He turned around and pointed his gun or he was facing the person at the car. And he was holding a pretty big gun. Reporter she said she heard at least three shots fired.
