Kline's Korner: The Changing Landscape of Education

Over the past 11 months, we have witnessed schools becoming more agile, more prepared to pivot, and becoming more fluid. These new buzzwords developing today are each very accurate organizational adjectives and verbs. They are also helping to paint a new picture of schools today.
Due to the pandemic, schools have had to depend on more remote learning. Most schools in PA have increased capacity for online or virtual learning.
At one point, about 40% of PA schools were doing some sort of in-person schooling. Whether it was fully in-person every day, or some sort of combination of so many days per week, the lesser majority of PA schools were providing in-person education for students. Some districts are beginning to return to class. Unfortunately, about 40% of students doing online education through their school district were failing at least one class. It was certainly a tough transition for many school districts.
