The families of San Franciscos murder victims for years sitting without closure or a closed case tonight, some of them are calling for a fix and how tipsters can earn cash rewards for giving up key information. Abc seven News Reporter Tara Campbell is hearing from those who hope that this can lead to justice. Reporter the faces of some of San Franciscos unsolved homicide cases. Cash rewards up to 250,000, the highest in the country yet not a single payout in more than a decade. Kind of slap in the face to all the families that, their loved ones were murdered. Anna oliver is one of hundreds of family members whove spent years waiting for some progress. Her brother pierre was beaten in 2008 and died of his injuries the following year. I dont see resolution. Its been so long. San franciscos doled out about 360,000 in reward money in seven Different Cases starting in 2001, the last payout in 2013. Its time for them to step up and, talk about this and try and help families to get some type of resolution for their loved ones. And the San Francisco Police Commission is doing exactly that. Listening to a city report wednesday suggesting the citys policy might be too restrictive, not giving awards to the anonymous tipsters, and then also requiring that the tip lead to a conviction, asking the head of sfpds homicide unit for some insight. I personally dont have any concerns regarding anonymous tipsters, being paid money to receive information. Demand as the university says, it will no longer invest in companies that profit from genocide, ethnic cleansing and activities that violate fundamental human rights. Students say they were told the University Held no direct investments, but will be dumping 4. 5 million in indirect investments if this is possible on one campus. Education department announced an investigation into allegations of severe and persistent antisemitism in the district. Today on capitol hill, superintendent anika ford morthal acknowledged nine antisemitic incidents but says the issue is not pervasive. When investigations show that an antisemitic event has occurred.
