Firefighters on the front lines of the north complex fire burning in butte and plumas counties are racing against the clock to build containment lines. And more than a quarter of a million acres burned, only 26 contained. Cal fire is worried about the gusty winds in the forecast. The fire has already burned more than 300 structures. And President Trump is coming to california today to 3450 meet with first responders. Y jobina has more. Yes, President Trump is expected to visit Mcclellan Park in Sacramento County which has served as a base for cal fire operations. The president will meet with local and federal fire emergency officials. He will be briefed on the states wildfires. He is scheduled to land around 10 45 this morning. Governor newsom and President Trump have spoken by phone since mid august. And here is the latest information on the bay area wildfires. Cal fire says that it expects to have the scu complex fully contained by thursday, containment at 98 . And that is the fire in santa o counties. The lnu complex is at 96 containment, cal fire continues to gain ground on the czu complex in san mateo and santa cruz counties, that fire is 89 contained. At the live desk, the search is on for the person who shot two Los Angeles County sheriffs deputies and the startling video captured the ambush, but we wont show the moment where the uni had night shooter opened fire. This happened late saturday night in compton. The deputies were sitting inside their patrol car. He acted as if he was going to walk past the car and then made a left turn directly toward the car, raised a pistol and fired several rounds inside of the vehicle striking both. And the Sheriffs Department says that both deputies are in critical condition, one is a 31yearold woman and a mother of 6earold bi. A boy. She was shot in the jaw and arms. The other is a 24yearold man hit in the forehead, arm and hand. There is a 100,000 reward for any information that can lead to an arrest. The return of the nfl meant numerous players and coaches took a knee, others chose to stand and hold a fist in the air. Some teams locked arms as they stood on the sideline.
