We still have the marine layer, but smoke from oregon is trapped in it and that is why we have poor air quality at the surface this morning. Right above that where we were pumping in all of the nastiness from the bear fire, and now they are out of the southeast. So we wont have quite as much smoke in the air, that is why i dont think that it will be quite as orange today as it was yesterday. But as we head throughout the day, notice the smoke never leaves us with the soth early winds, well be pulling in smoke from the creek fire and then also the dolan fire. And look at saturday evening into sunday, we start to get a shift in the pattern and we start to push that smoke off to the east. And it could be sunday, i know, another three days of living through unhealthy air before we finally get to it. Schools are not reopen for on site classes until their county has been out of highest tier for 14 days. And with just three weeks before the end of the 2020 census, the state is scrambling to get every how was hold to fill out a form. More than three out of ten californians have yet to turn theirs in. The census determines how much of your tax dollars is actually spent in your community. North complex fire is what is responsible for some of that smoke that is drifting our way. One of the fires in the complex, the bear fire, exploded in size and now it has turned deadly. Terrifying video shows that fire just whipping along a road in oroville yesterday. Provide of it, firesiresires several east bay stations left to provide help. Right now it is 24 contained. Parts of oroville are still under threat and some of the surrounding area has already burned. People used to come around and have breakfasts there, ive had christmas there and thanksgiving before. The fire has now forced evacuation warnings for part of paradise. Three people have died and at this point several people are unaccounted for. Air crews are helping to battle the creek fire burning northeast of fresno in the Sierra National forest. Cal fire Officials Say increased visibility allowed pilots to get off the ground yesterday and make several rounds through the fire.
