It gave us a great opportunity to try to do this job a little bit early. Then if we can complete it early, then we wont have the very large traffic impacts we were expecting when people are getting ready to go back to work. The bridge deck here is 70 years old. So, theyre going to demolish it and replace it. The project, obviously, is expected to be noisy as they take down that old bridge. 800 feet of concrete coming down. Neighbors are aware they are happening and all at home right now. Its not going to be pleasant. Cal trans working with a Construction Company to try to reduce the noise and plans in place to try to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Sarah cody says one goal is to expand contact tracing. The idea is that we dial it down enough such that we can investigate every case thats reported to us and every contact. And that we can ensure that every case can isolate. Inveigatio sta to interview covid19 patients and find the people they have been in contact with. Tomorrow, testing sites will be open in San Franciscos Mission District which has the citys highest concentration of coronavirus cases. Those with symptoms and close contact to someone infected will continue to be tested for free. The city currently has 26 testing sites open. Added to that list will be communities with barriers to health care. Thats why this weekend ucsf will begin testing residents of the Mission District.
