touchdown tomorrow morning. kate larson is there at travis air force base with the latest. >> reporter: in the past hour, we received new guidance there will be two planes landing here between 6:00 and 9:00 in the morning. one plane will then refuel and move on to an air station in san diego, the other will remain here. all of the evacuees were tested for coronavirus before they left china. and as soon as they get off the plane, they will be tested again. after weeks of waiting in chinese coronavirus hot zone, 250 americans finally evacuated. they're bound for this hotel, in fairfield where they will be quarantined for at least two weeks. 14,000 people work at the base, and many in town are concerned. >> there are people out there that have compromised immune systems where this would be debt mental to them. >> lots of people on our facebook and community groups are terror feed. i feel like it's like the bird flu. >> reporter: if one of them is diagnosed with coronavirus, they ll be taken to a hospital. >> this is one of our isolation rooms. >> reporter: lisa winston works at san francisco general. right now, ucsf is treating two coronavirus patients. she says sf general is also ready if anyone shows one the virus. >> the types of resources that you need and ire born isolation room and personal protective equipment are things we use routinely for caring for patients with other conditions. >> reporter: they have treated patients with a variety of infectious diseases, including h-1-n-1, thb and measles. once we're in here, no air can escape this room? >> yes, we have closed this door. >> reporter: the next step is a familiar one. then the gown. >> when we're doling with something new, like novel coronavirus, we general do have someone who is observing to make sure that acoverage is there. and the masks filter out small particles. >> reporter: eye protection and gloves are the last step. time and isolation depends on the deverity of infection. so we're understanding that no military personnel here at travis will have any contact with any of those evacuees quarantined here. we do know that tomorrow there is a press conference about the evacuees, and
