They were trying to help Lafayette Police track down a vehicle related to a Home Invasion there, but it turns out that that may help explain why officers here didnt respond to what turned out to be a deadly party. Investigators towed away a black Dodge Challenger from the orinda home where five people were shot and killed here during a house party on halloween night. Is there a scenario where orinda could ban shortterm rentals period . Well, thats one of the things the council is going to talk about. There is some challenges with that that are legal, but if thats the direction they want to go, thats what well work on. And a at this point, the council will only begin exploring option, including expanding enforcement of existing rules. Weve had no update.
