Area, but its now getting closer to homes. We want to talk to greg, our sky7 photographer. What do you see now . Reggie, this is a live shot from sky7 over the kincaid fire. Over Sonoma County, near geyserville. You can see the terrain is very, very hilly. And theres a lot of ridges to deal with. Probably intensifying the winds that fuel this fire. We are getting reports that there are structures being burned at this moment. Well have to wait until its brighter outside before we can see it. I will show you how wide this area is. Using our map technology, i will give you an idea how long the fire line is. Ill start at the top here. As you can see, thats over 11 miles long. Just on the Eastern Front of this fire. As far as any aerialfire and th they will be flying out of santa rosa shortly, and cal fire is going to be the responding agency, and well probably see many more assets there and including the larger tankers and the commercial tankers that are inverted for these large fires. Back to you. That is going to give us an idea of the magnitude of the fire this morning. We appreciate the information. And we do want to talk now to cal fire, and we have amy head on the phone, and are you there, amy . Amy, can you hear us . I can hear you. Okay. Thank you. Amy, last time we talked to you, it was still at 10,000 acres and you have hundreds of firefighters staging in the area, and what are you able to do now that we are getting the daylight . Well, as i mentioned before, we are going to be looking at lifting some of the aircraft into the air shortly, and we will be able to utilize them depending on the wind conditions, and so that is the tool in the tool box that we have been missing overnight, and we have a lot more Ground Resources still coming into the incident, and we have hundreds of firefighters here, and still coming into the incident as we speak, and so we should have a lot more resource, aceresourcesd is going to start to cooperate for us throughout the day. And you said 10,000 and is it bigger than that now . I dont have a update from the last count, and it is growing, but when we get the aircraft in the air, we will get a much more accurate number as far acreages. Do you is a sense of getting closer to peoples homes, and is that what prompted the evacuation of geyserville . We are facing some of the very erratic winds, and so we have been seeing a lot of the spot fires due to that, that are being thrown out ahead of the main fire, and so just for precautionary reason, we are not going to be take any chances and evacuate the chances where the fire could head to more populated areas. And so during the overnight hours, what if anything can the firefighters really do when they are in the dark and no air support and the winds are so fierce . Well, we have water on the engine, and we can do the hose lays and the dozers that can cut line, and lot can be done, but the problem with this fire is that it is basically outpacing us. It is burning faster than we could keep up with it, because of the winds. So really we need the winds to calm down so that we can get ahead of it and start to get some good containment lines in. We are all crossing the fingers for that, and although they tell us it could be many more hours before the winds do calm down. We appreciate the update from you, and we look forward to having more progress as we are now going to get some air support soon. Amy, thank you, again, for joining us on the phone. All right. Abc7 news report Amy Hollyfield in hillsburgh where she has been watching the winds and the flames, and amy, what are you seeing right now . Is that looking any better . Well, we just saw a structure going up, kumasi and this is the structure that we shot within the last 20 minutes of a structure on fire. And so we do have at least one that has been destroyed and let me tell you where i am. I am on Alexander Valley road, and im looking toward highway 128, and someone on twitter asked me if that is the gym town store, and we are close to the store, but between me and the storiso medlock aims wi wine winery, and so the vineyard tasting room and some landmarks, but i cannot tell you what building that is that burned, but to give you some landmarks and we were so sad to see the fire engulf that building there. And we have watched it grow so much overnight, and what an intense night. We were watching it up, you know, safely from Alexander Valley road looking up at the hills where it is burning, and then the winds pushed it, and it is started to move erratically and down the hill and down to the valley floor. We have seen a lot of the residents packing up their cars, and getting out of here, and some are shaking their heads, and saying that this is really just feeling just like two years ago. Those deadly fires that swept through here in 2017, and they said it feels like it is happening all over again. The firefighters had a tough night overnight, because of so much wind, and it is so dark. This is also a steep and rugged terrain. With the live picture, i wanted the show you some smoke. Now that we are getting the sunlight, you can see that almost like storm clouds, and that is all smoke. E. That is going to surprise a lot of people when they wake up and see just the thick blanket of the smoke over the valley right now Alexander Valley, and just a huge fire plaguing this area. If you know anyone, give them a call, and pg e turned the water off, and so a lot of people cant watch the newscast, and hopefully they are watching it on the phone, but reach tout anyone that you know in this area. Reporting live, Amy Hollyfield, abc7 news. Amy, what is that like breathing in that area right now . Are the winds going away from you . We are feeling okay, and we dont smell fire, and we are away and it is not blowing towards us, so i am not worried about the air quality where i am, but if you are looking behind me, you can see the trajectory, and we were standing over there at one point, and we got the heck out of, there because we could see it is headed that way. And looking this way, reggie, it is beautiful, and a gorgeous pink sunrise and clear skies. So that is where we are trying to stay in this area where the clean air is, and so, air quality right now where i am standing, it is okay, and definitely blowing that way. Appreciate it, and so sorry to see that building go down this building. That is too bad. Amy, thank you for the update. Appreciate it. I know. And now we want to check in with lisa, and you have been tracking the wind, and what is happening now . Well, because of the Power Outages and the people are using the phones, the internet is not great if you are trying to get the information on the phone. And much of the north bay is in the 70s and the relative humidity is in the teens or 10 . This is in or around geyserville, and the winds at the surface are light, and you have to go up to 1,000 feet where you get the 20 to 30 to 40mileanhour winds that we will be seeing for the next couple of hour, but the good news is that they will be lightening up by this afternoon. And this is a view of mount tam, and the camera is shaking there, and we have mild numbers and gilroy, 23degree spread from gilroy to 75 in Half Moon Bay with a 45mileanhour wind gust. This is the exploratorium camera, and you can see the air quality is good there, and the winds are very light at the surface, and so we will see the smoke in the north bay and sure the air quality, and definitely being under that smoke, and it will be poor, but elsewhere, we are expecting better air quality in the south bay and the east bay today. Jobina. Okay. We will get to her updating us in a moment, but first, this wildfire that we spoke spoke about this is prompting hundreds of evacuations. The Sheriffs Office said that there is a mandatory evacuation. And alexander road, and highway 128 from geyser road to river road, and there is one Evacuation Center open at hillsburgh Community Center. There was one at windsor high school, but that closed a few minutes ago. Yes, and abc7 reporter Lauren Martinez is there, and you have been talking to the volunteers there from the red kros and it is a lot to help people this morning. Yes. Yeah, they are helping a lot of people, and more and more people are starting to come here. I wanted to show you my perspective from in front of the hillsburgh Community Center, and you can see as daylight approaches just how smoky the sky look, and you could see more and more the plume behind us. It was really hard to see when we got here at 4 30, and so dark. But you could smell the smoke, and this morning, we have seen gusty winds every time we were talking to someone, it was hard to conduct interviews, because it was so windy. So i wanted to show you a clip from an interview that we shot earlier this morning with the red cross volunteer. I lost a home when i was a kid to fire, and then in 2006, woo, the winds are really picking up, and in 2006, i lost my home to the floods here in Sonoma Valley and then in 2017, i was evacuated for two weeks for the fires in Sonoma Valley as well. Reporter so you can just see how windy it is and it has been throughout the morning. So again, if you or someone you know is under a mandatory evacuation, come here to hieldsburg Evacuation Center and they have water and if you need to rest, they have cots and outlets for you the charge some of the devices. I talked to a couple off of pine flat road, and that i have been staying in their car, and they are just hoping for the best, but it has been a long night for a lot of people here. Reporting live, im Lauren Martinez, abc7 news. Thank you, lauren. We will check back with you in a few minutes. But this morning, pg e has cut power to customers overnight. And we will get back to that, but we wanted to show you this video now from amy, and her camera is close to the flame, and kind of showing you in the center of the screen, and what would you call it, a fire here that is just in the one spot, and that is what cal fire told us that they were concerned about is just different hot spots to the fires and that is what prompted them to do the evacuations that we have seen most recently in geyserville, and the hot spots that they wanted to be cautious and careful and not take any risks. And it demonstrates how quickly that fire spread, because you are watching live on the tv as it is starting to jump to more acreage, and as you can see, the crews are in a smart place, fwhaz are on the other side of the vineyard from the fire, and the vineyards as we have seen a couple of years ago often act as a fire break. So we will continue to watch this of course as the morning goes on. And lets talk about the power shutoffs that are happening because of the wildfire danger. The latest outage happened this morning at 1 00 a. M. In san mateo company. And pg e estimates at the peak 1,000 inan gregorio and that area sim pacted. And the Power Outages started at 2 00 yesterday, and about 2,000 customers in sonoma are in the outage zone, and that includes annapolis, cloverdale, gurnville, hillsburgh, kenwood, larkwood, sonoma, and windsor point, and it is important the tell you that the kinkade fire is now burning towards geyserville right now. And in napa about 7,000 customers are out of power there. And they include rutherford and st. Helena and deer park and many others. And on the yu tills website, you may remember there were problems with the website crashing, and that is not happening this morning which is very good news. You want to look at the pink area, and the pink icons is where the Public Safety shutoff is happening f. I can zoom in here and get closer, it is going to begin to expand and then you click inside and it will show you how many customers have been affected in this area, and it is 96, and also shows you cause, and the status and the last time it was updated. If you would like more specific information for your home, i wanted to take you to this page for the Public Safety power shutoff. Scroll down. Click get current information. Once this is loading, another site is going to pull up here. And then you want to click check your address. Once this loads, you will be able to enter your own address right re, and you can see it on the lefthand side, and once it loads, it is going to tell you what has been impacted and when it will be impacted and then you can navigate from there. If you are not able to locate this, we have these links available on our website at abc7news. Com. And the power shutoff is forcing School Closures in santa rosa. They are closing Hidden Valley elementary, and santa rosa accelerated charter and Rincon Valley, and in the rincon, six schools wont open. Five are elementary, and whited, blinkley, and madrone and sequoia. And also today, the unified schools may close campus, but it is up in the air depending when pg e can inspect the power lines and turn the fire back on. And given the fire right now, it is unlikely that they will be open tomorrow, but we of course will be monitoring that. And lisa is watching the winds which are not going to end soon enough. Well, you know what, they are going to lighten up, and we are looking at the weekend where we will see a bigger offshore event, and we want to take care of what is in front of us now which is the red flag warning, and the winds will lighten up by 11 00. And the red flag warning until 4 00 to be safe. The winds at the surface are not strong, but you have to go up in height at the north bay, but at the coast, gusty winds. This is a view of mount tam, and Beautiful Day and late october, and we have the warm temperatures, but they are well above average, and looking at the record heat, and you can see the camera shaking there, and 67 in san francisco, and 75 in ha Half Moon Bay and when the winds are nearly at 50 Miles Per Hour, and Half Moon Bay, and the golden gate bridge, and 60 in santa rosa, and 62 in petaluma, and so we are loong at not only the gusty winds, but look at the 47mileanhour wind gusts at Half Moon Bay at the delta, and this is at the surface. Most of you are seeing the light winds, but to go up in the height, and this is why we have the red flag warning for the next couple of hours and still locking a 30mileanhour through calistoga and cloverdale and napa and into the 29mileanhour range. We showed you Half Moon Bay, and at 11 00, the colors will be lighter and the winds will be lighter and the relative humidity is worse, and it is going to dry out more. And here we are at 15 concord relative humidity, and the heat and the wind and it is going to be a warm day with high fire takener for everybody, jobina. I am really hoping that the winds will work in our favor eventually. It a little bit, yes, but this is the time of the year, and what we expect, and we are building on the dry atmosphere, and not only then but into the weekend and not just for today and right on through the rest of the month. And yeah, another thing that i wanted people to watch out for this morning is the road closures and following the sig alert, because that is what we were looking at since 4 00 this morn, and between geyserville and cloverdale, and we have learned that the closure has exa panded to chalk hill which we see is closer to the wineries that Amy Hollyfield mentioned. 101 is the alternate. And geyserville is under a mandatory Evacuation Order, and the fire has crossed kinkade at 128 near moody lane and heading west. If you are in geyserville, head to the one Evacuation Center now at Healdsburg Community center there. And be mineful with the Power Outages, you should treat the intersections carefully and drive slowly, because it is smoky and hard to see. Thank you, jobina. And we have been talking with amy all morning, and she is really close to the fire, and we are seeing how it is spreading and especially as you are getting more light this morning, amy. Hi. Kumasi, yes, you will hear us say that the fire has laid down and this is not doing that, and look behind me, because it is still raging, and we will see the intense bright flame, and we have been watching it for hours, and the fire started at 10 00 last night, and we were watching it at 4 00 a. M. , and we saw it on top of the mountain and it is traveling down the mountain into the valley, and it has crossed the highway and it is really, it has made some moves overnight. The wind has died down. We were hit with the gusts overnight, and we are not experiencing that anymore, but the fire is relentlessly burning, and i wanted to show you some video that we have shot within the hour of the structure on fire, and i am sorry to report that i did stand here with a building to go up in flame, and we are watching from the Vantage Point from Alexander Valley road and looking toward highway 128, and you are looking at the medlock winery and the gymtown store, and i did not what the building was and give you some landmarks if you know the area well, and we are also close to the stone street Estate Vineyards tasting room. Where we have not heard that anyone has been hurt in the fire, and we have heard good reports aboutationvacuations of getting people out of here in a timely manner, and it is not preventing the destroying of the property. Be aware that the relentless fire is being very destructive and headed right on down into the valley floor. Now, if you want to take a look at the live picture at all of the smoke in the area, and it is almost going to look like storm clouds, but it is a dark smoke that is covering the valley, and just giving an eerie feel over the usually gorgeous area. You know, full of vineyards, and now, very, very cloudy, but the wind has died down, and hopefully the sun sup, and hopefully the firefighters will be able to start an aggressive attack, and start the forward progress for this, and we are hoping for the best for them, and we will keep you posted as they fight against this kinkade fire. Reporting live from healdsburg, Amy Hollyfield. Yes, they have quite a battle in front of them and they are anxious to get out there. And we wanted to show you new video into the newsroom and some shots to show you how close the fire is to the roadways. This is new video of the kinkade fire in Sonoma County shotreeve him, and he is close to the flames. And this is how close this is and what the firefighters will have to face now that they are getting some more sunlight and getting here to attack flames. Yes, what you are seeing there is entirely out of control, and the reason why the Public Information officer from cal fire said that this fire outpaced them overnight. It is too big, and moving too fast, and the winds are too out of control, and when you dont have any air support, she said that they were doing thing, and they have bulldozers out there, and the hose lines, and how much can that do against something that is 10,000 acres and growing as quickly as you can see in the video. Yes, now that the sun is out, and they have more light out there, and they are going to be doing the airdrops as soon as they can safely, and with the winds, it is still a concern, and right now, they are planning to do more air drops and to get more personnel out there on the ground to fight this fire. Now, we wanted to show you some more video, and we have had sky 7 above the fire for most of the morning, and this is video from just aew minutes ago of what the fire looks like from the air. There is guideser map road, and where the wineries were forced to evacuate and you can see why, because the fire is so close, and now we have a new tool that is showing you the scope of the fire. It is 11 miles. So you have the think about what the firefighters and the crews are going to be up against as they get up now that the sun is out, and prepare to attack this fire in an 11mile stretch here. I wanted to give people an idea, and i have to figure out a way to show this, but on the twitter, our producer, eric, he looked at a 45minute span of the exact same shot, and so, geyser road there, and there was no fire beyond geyser road at 6 15 this morning, but by the time we got to 7 00 this morning, in a matter of 45 minutes, there was a big spread of the fire, and i know that we are saying 10,000 acres, but it is very outdated number. Yes, when we spoke to cal fire, they said it is well past 10,000, and talked about because the fire canpread so quickly and why did you choose to ask the people in geyserville to evacuate, they said they do not want to take chance, and there are spot fires and they want to be careful and not wait and see. They told the people that you need to leave now. Yes, and once it jumps a highway like 128, there is not much of a choice. It is a small town to be sure, but obviously a huge impact on the lives, so we will continue to follow this and check in with the crews on the grond and the air. Of course, we will continue to monitor this and let you know as the sun comes up, and the firefighters are able to do the airdrops, and we will continue to watch it and see the progress they are able to make, and lisa is also going to be continuing to watch the winds. Any idea of the time line of the winds right now, lisa . Well, you know, the winds will dial back, but the dew points is a measure of the moisture in the air and they are in the 20 range, and without any wind, the relative humidity is not much better than the dew point at 20 to 30 , and adding in a little bit of the wind, and puff of wind, and with redown bel below below 10 , and the winds are going to continue from 10 to 14 Miles Per Hour above 1,000 feet. Above the winds, we are looking out of the north shore west winds and starting out with the temperatures in the 60s and the 70s and except for Half Moon Bay where it is windy and up to 50mileanhour winds, and down here where we live, it looks to be a Beautiful Day, right . Well, not this time of the year. When we have got excessive heat, and temperatures with record territory, and 90s in san francisco, and so you add in any wind at all, and it is going to be adding for a very, very dry atmosphere. So we are looking at the north and concentrating on the north bay throughout the 11 00 hour where the winds will be erratic, and gusty at times. They are not going to be sustained at the 20 to 30mileanhour range, and the gusts from time to time, but the direction will be from the north northeast, and we wont see a return of the onshore flow until maybe tomorrow, and if we do, it is not going to be very long. So we are looking at the cooldown for the weekend, but it is not going to help us out much either, because a much stronger offshore wind event is forecasted for late saturday and a much wider area, and stronger winds into sunday morning. Kumasi and reggie. That is disturbing to think that the worst of this is still to come. Lisa, thank you. You saw a moment from sky7, there is a structure burning. It is unclear to me if that is the same Structure Building in Amy Hollyfields video. And so our producer, eric, is showing that huge difference of the fire in 45 minutes. So we are playing the video. You can see geyser road there and as it is looping, you will understand what i am saying. And so this is after, and 7 00 a. M. From sky7, and the fire is way past geyser road, and then as it is looping at 6 15 this morning, that it was nowhere near geysers road at that point, and so in 45 minutes that fire was spreading many acres over the roads and eventually over a highway. So, this is something that has been burning out of control for many, many hours at this point, and it is going to take a long time to get this, for the firefighters to get their equipment and the air support they need to get this at least a little bit under control. Yes. We have had the crews there and we saw Amy Hollyfield there, and at one point she said that i am too close, and i need to leave, and that escalated as she spent the morning there and changed her position, and that gave us a sense of how quickly things can change in the environment like that. Yes. And of course, Good Morning America is covering this and they have their reporter will reeve very close to the fireline, and this is what he saw. Here in Sonoma County, fire crews are working vigilantly to monitor the fire that has grown to nearly 10,000 acres and zero percent contained in Sonoma County. We are in wine country, and the protective measures taken by the authorities the do the structre protection. At the winery here, we are in the vineyard and all of the way up the hill, the fire is burning around and the wind is swirling in random patterns, and no way to predict how or where the wind will go and when it is going to pick up and what it will do. The fire already jumped the road multiple times, and engulfing people. So as the mandatory evacuations are being enforced and people are driving out, and hom are on high alert for the fire and tons of smoke. People had to drive down the hill, and the firefighters moving everyone down methodically as the fire crept its way down further andurther down theill with no sign of stopping. It all depends on the winds which will continue throughout the day, and critical danger for much of the area, and a lot of the areas in california. Will reeve, abc news, Sonoma County. Thank you, will. And we have our reporter, too, over at the red cross Evacuation Center. And the volunteers have been trying to help people, because they have been evacuated. Yes, it is a hard task to accommodate and make the evacuations as comfortable as possible. It is hard when a fire breaks out overnight, and you have the leave at a moments notice or in your pajamas, and you come here. So red cross volunteers are trying to make it as comfortable evacuees with information and water and you can charge your devices, and theres snacks. They have towels. And they are just trying to make it as comfortable as possible. We have talked to one man who lives in Alexander Valley, and he is here with his wife. They evacuated. And he isdescribing to me just how lost and disoriented he feels right now. He and his wife were evacuated a couple of years ago at the tubbs fire, but no imminent threat to the property, but this morning they saw a glow, and then he said he saw flames within 400 yards of his property. At that moment they knew, and experiencing the tubbs fire they had a gobag, and photo album, and everything together. So if you are in a area where there is an evacuation warning, you should gather the Important Documents and vit rhave it read go. I know when i was personally in a fire in chico, and i had the go bag ready, but i created it that day and so i have learned to keep it with me, and so you have learned to be prepared for the next time, but Something Like this, you can never be too prepared for and it is always good to get what you can and to just remain calm, and again, come to the healdsburg commuty center, because there are people here to support you at this time. Laura martinez, abc7 news. Thank you, lauren. And we have been checking in with Amy Hollyfield, and she has been changing locations as the fire has been getting closer to her, and she is also in healsburg, and you can see the flames next to the vineyard she is next to. Hi, amy. Hey, reggie. Let me get out of the way so you can see the fire right now with lots of smoke right now, and that is continuing to happen throughout tonight. We get lots of bright fire, and then the Vantage Point is blocked by huge plumes of smoke. The wind has died down, and it is stagnant and not really moving like it was. And the fire though, sorry, let me, the fire when we pulled up, we have seen the fire move aggressively down the hill into the valley and they put the mandatory evacuation in place for geyserville, and i have video of the structure control room, can you confirm . Is that the structure video that is burning . Okay. Thank you. Yes. We shot this probably around 6 30 this morning, and we did see a structure go up,ed a it was destroyed by fire. I cant tell you from the Vantage Point exactly what burned. We are watching from alexander road to 128, and that is tough to see. The firefighters have not told us of any reports of anyone injured and we have seen the people safely evacuating out of here, and some have stopped to look at it with us, and a lot of people are just shaking their head just in shock that this is happening again with their memories of 2017 still vivid on their minds. As they are watching this fire. What is startling is overnight, the direction changes, and how it burned at will. It went in many directions and moved quickly and so much wind. Wind has died down now, so hopefully that is going to help the firefighters as they try to get the upperhand on this fire. Reporting live from healdsburg, Amy Hollyfield. We are certainly hoping that things are going to change this morning. Thank you, mae. And another working story that we are following in addition to the fire is the pg e power shutoffs and that is affecting a lot of people in the area, and really across so many parts of the area, and also forcing a lot of the School Closures. In the Santa Rosa School district, Hidden Valley, and set rated cha ak accelerated schools. And whited, blinkley, and medrano, and sequoia campus, and the geyserville unified campus will be closed and you have to consider the fire we are seeing right now, and it is going to depend how quickly the pg e can inspect the lines and get the power turned back on. Throughout the morning, we are getting updates from the battalion chief who is in charge of the information at cal fire, and this is what she had to say about the scope of the fire and why it is so hard to fight overnight. Hopefully the winds will start to die down, and cooperate with us throughout the day. Amy, you said that the fire is getting bigger, and is it larger than 10,000 . I dont have a accurate count, but it is bigger than 10,000 acres and it is growing, but when we get the aircraft in the air, we will get a much more accurate number as to what the acreage is. Do you is a sense of the it is getting closer to peoples homes, and is that what prompted the evacuation of geyserville . We are facing some tof the very erratic spots, and that is ahead of the main fire and for precaution areas, we are not taking any chances and evacuate the area where the fire could head to more populated areas. In the overnight hour, what if anything can the firefighters do in the dark and no air support and the winds are so fierce . Well, we have water on the engines, a kwend do the hond we lays and dozers to cut the line in there, but the problem with the fire is that it is basically outpacing us. It is burning faster than we could keep up with it, because of the winds. So really, we theed the winds to calm down so we can get ahead of it and get some good containment lines in. Yeah, it speaks to what challenge they have ahead of them. She is being really transparent that it was outpacing them, and it is tough to stop a monster like this. This is the video that i wanted to show you earlier that our producer eric put together, and this is a really quick look at how fast the fire spread from 6 15 to 7 00 a. M. And if you are looking at the lefthand upper part of the screen, that is geysers road, and look at that 45 minutes earlier, there was no fire near geysers road. So far past it. And so just in that little period of time, and you can see how quickly the fire spread overnight as it was being explained from cal fire that when they dont have the air support, and the winds are blowing so fast, there is not much they can do to contain Something Like this, and that is why they had to quickly tell more people in geyserville to get out of their homes. Yes, and first, it is just an advisory, and escalated quickly tok being mandatory. And a lot of it i know that lisa has to do with the winds, but that is not the only elements that you were telling us about . No, for the for this time of the year, it is not unusual at all, and we have seen several of the events. We have another one on tap of the weekend, but the current one right now, not totally isolated, but more focused to the north bay. This is a look at the mount tam, and it is looking shaky, the camerat a times, and in the upper 6 to 70s and except for gilroy and san jose, and calm winds at the surface, and the relative humidity is up in parts of the east bay and the south bay and a look at the east bay hills camera, and on top of mount diablo, and the relative humidity is 17 , and the humidity is blowing at 1,000 to 2,000 feet, and 30,000 feet there. And napa, and fairfield, and looking at the 4hour temperature change, you can tell where the wind is moving from napa to Half Moon Bay. And that is where we have 25mileanhour degree difference in temperatures. This is the wind gust there at Half Moon Bay, and this is at the surface, and so the rest of you not looking at lot of wind, and 30 humidity in freemont, and san jose at 49 , but going through the afternoon, everybody is drying out more, because we have hotter temperatures, and the temperatures are going to climb into the 8 o0s and the 90s above average, and records for the entire bay and as we are looking at 1 00, 10 napa, and 32 san mateo, and dry here in the valley, and very dry, and once again the north bay at 8 , and lakeport is 7 , andu kia, and as we are going through the evening hours a little bit better, and a little on shore push there and slightly better recovery, but not much. It is warm for friday. And a look at the winds through 9 00, and 20 to 36mileanhour not uncommon in the north bay. 10 00, still gusty and the rest of the bay is lighter except for at the coast where we are looking at 25mileanhour wind gusts. 11 00, breezy to gusty, but in the afternoon, lighter, but the rms are already in the 80s to near 90 degrees in the afternoon. It is a hot day today, and the nights are long, but still looking at the offshore flow, and even though it is lighter, we wont recover in terms of the moisture. This is the trend through friday, and little bit of the break on saturday, and then we do it all again on sunday with a more widespread offshore event, and gustier winds and not confined to just the north bay, but it is 90 in san francisco, and 80 in palo alto, and beautiful october afternoon, but we have low relative humidity, and the gusty winds in the upper elevation, and it is not going to take anything at all to start a fire out there, and so you have to be very, very careful. We as, as i said, we have another event sunday to look at. And so to think that pg e is going to inspect the power lines and turn it back on, and then sort of determine when they will turn it back off again over the weekend is going to be interesting. Because as i said before, that event going to impact many more people, in fact, much more of the bay area. As for today, it is hot, and it is going to continue to be today, where it is going to feel weird out there, because the numbers are so warm, and the relative humidity is so dry. We have seen it before, but, you know, we are not going to be getting a big, big help at all from the weather. Oh, wow. Unfortunately not much help on the roadways either, because the sig alert that we are following all morning long, the roads are impacted and just continue to expand as we are going on throughout the mornm. The video that you are seeing right now is from guyers road this morning. Were dealing with, and why everything is closed. It is so smoky, and you can see the flames, and the firefighters are focused on that, and not on getting these roadways open. So state route 128 between geyserville avenue and cloverdale road is closed. That closure is now expanding to chalk hill which is close to some wineries, and so i will bring you to graphic where you can see the potential alternate there, and the purple area is where the closure s and 101 is where you would like to take if you are going to be moving about or evacuating or no someone who is this morning. Geyserville under a mandatory Evacuation Order, and the kinkade fire has crossed over highway 128 near moody lane and heading west. If you are in geyserville, please leave and head to the Evacuation Center at the Healdsburg Community center. The and side streets and the back roads that you may think that you know well, it is closed if it is east of 101. Be mindful and please drive slowly, but a it is going to be tough and a lot of people are going Different Directions and may be confused out there. Reggie and kumasi. Thank you. I wanted to show you new video that the geyserville Protection Services just posted on the facebook. This is Police Officers evacuating the people from downtown geyserville, and the concern of course when you have an overnight fire is that the people, especially when they dont have power, that i dont have a good way to get the information. They may sleep through the alerts coming eefr the phones, or the phones may not be charged then it is oldfashioned knocking on the doors and honking the horns. Only 800 people there, but in matter of moments trying to reach the people, you have to try everything to make sure that everybody is out on time. We can see them going doortodoor, and neighbors are helping neighbors and checking to make sure that peoples cars are still in the driveway to make sure they have heard, and so it is an effort to make sure, especially when the people do not have power, reggie, they are out, and they know what is going on. Yes, it is a scary situation, and when it is always sry whe a fire is coming close to e town, but to have in the dark while you have no electricity has to be the really discomfortbling feeling, and so we are thinking of those folks this morning. Where do they go . Well, a couple of Evacuation Centers open, but one has been shutbeca, e it is condoll dated, but now new information that a new Evacuation Center will be oning up in sonoma Evacuation Center. And lauren has more information with that. Good morning, lauren. Yes, we are here at the headsburg, and we have got word they will open up the fairgrounds at 8 00 which is 15 minutes from now, and so if you need a place to charge the devices or to get information and regroup yourself, you can come here to the headsburg Community Center or over to the Sonoma County fairgrounds. We spoke with an evacuee, and this is not the first time he has had to evacuate his home because of to fire, and this is a similar story to a lot of the evacuees that we have spoken to this morning. And this is all something that they have seen before and they have gone through before, and so your heart feels for them tonight, and this morning and going into the day. Take a listen at what he had to say. I was not planning on evacuating this morning. We were ready to go, and we were packed and ready to evacuate just in case, but i said no way that the fire will get through us through two miles of the vineyard and i started the espresso machine for coffee and i had a generator and the power was out yesterday at 2 15 and i went and took one last look and i said holy, crap, it is time to go. Reporter mayor david haguely has been here at the headsburg Community Center to speak to the media and the volunteers and they expect a influx of the evacuees here at headsburg Evacuation Center, and so it makes sense they opened up another Evacuation Center at the sonoma cnty fairgrounds. Monitoring the pg e website right now, and you may remember that in the last power shutoff there were problems with the website crashing, but it is up and running this morning. As you heard from Lauren Martinez interview, he said that he had the generator going, and power out at 2 00, and can you imagine with the evacuation with the power out. If you are going to the pg e outage center. The pink icons are what you want to look at. That is going to show you the Public Safety power shutoff is. I zoomed in a little bit so we could get close to geyserville, and see how many people are impacted there, and you can click on it, and it is expanding and tap here. We can see, and it is this portion at least 200 customers have been affected. And we can try another area further south, and try this, this is south of the gym town here, and tap, that and we can see 223 customers affected. I have been tapping around the website for the last couple of minutes and the numbers are pretty much the same throughout the area, and so, i keep going up, and further throughout the morning. I wanted to look here to the Public Safety power shutoff and announcement site if you have questions about your home specifically, and you can locate that here as well, and tap on your address and put that in. It will tell you if your home has been impacted which at this point, you already know, but it has more information on when the power is going to be restored, which at this point is to be announced. All right. Than you, jobina and now, wondering if the fire is going to impact the schools in sonoma schools now. And we have the deputy superintendent of Sonoma County office of education, and joining us on the phone. Can you hear us, jenny . Yes, i can. All right. Thank you so much for your time this morning. What going on when it is coming to the schools in Sonoma County right now . Well, currently headsburg and cloverdale have been closed due to fire threat as precautionary matter, and also, geyserville now has been evacuate and shelters are set up at the headsburg Community Center and the Sonoma County fairgrounds, and earlier the winter high was so be a shelter, but it is no longer a shelter. And windsor is now open, but we are monitoring that with the School District. We know it is very traumatic event for many of the students and staff, and our crisis staff has been deployed to help the communities cope. Jenny, how many of the students in the entire population are affected then by the closures today . I dont have specific numbers. But i can the School Districts impacted are Alexander Valley district, and cloverdale unified School District, and geyserville and headsburg unify and ran cohen unified which inincludes whited, bakeley, medrone and sequoia, and Rincon Valley charter school, and austin creek elementary school. The Santa Rosa City School District has schools closed as well, Hidden Valley, and santa rosa accelerated charter, and Rincon Valley and the korean high school. And so many of the stufrnts were around two years ago when the fires struck and were so extraordinarily destructive, especially in the areas in and around santa rosa. What has that been like for the two years to get the kids into a place where they feel like they are safe, and then of course, now, there is always the threat of the fires this morning. Right. We have a very Responsive Team that meets the needs of the students who have experienced tragic event, and counselors and Additional Resources have been put into place to provide additional counseling and support services to help the students through these times. And jenny, what is the rest of the day looking like for you . You will be mon noring the fire, and determining what the next few days will be looking like for students . Yes. We are monitoring the situation closely along with the local School Districts and getting updates so we are going to stay on this, and respond as we need to. All right. Are you prepared, and someone else from a different School District talked about how we dont have the emergency days built into the school year, and is this something that you have planned for when it comes to knowing that days like this may indeed happen for students . Local School Districts make that decision in terms of the calendaring and the days at the county office that is not something that we have jurisdiction over, and so that is a local School District decision. Got ya. All right. Well, thank you, jenny, for joining us, and giving us the updates of going on with the students in the area, ad we appreciate it. Absolutely. Thank you. And now that this is an annual thing, i wonder if it is going to become like a snow day that has to be built in, because sadly, this continues to occur. Okay. So now we are going to healdsburg where she has been watching the fire. Yes, hello, we had intense moments overnight watching the fire, and a couple of moments to realize that we need to get out of the way. It has shifted a lot, and taken Different Directions and rage and now putting off a lot of smoke and a lot of smoke for a fire that started at 10 00 last night, and still activity out there, and we dont see the big bright raging fire that we saw all night long, but still a lot of smoke. So i am not willing to say yet at the dire emergencys over. But the winds have died down. So, it does feel like the situation is improving a little bit out here, and looking at the video that we shot overnight of this monster fire here, the kinkade fire. We do have, as you are looking at the video of the structure burning, and we have not been able to confirm yet what went up in flames, but a structure was destroyed, and we are going to look from Alexander Valley road to highway 128 and it did jump highway 128 as it came down here from the hills and into the valley, and we have several wineries around us, and we have the gem town store, and we will try to push in closer to see what burned. We talked to residents overnight who were told to evacuate and watching it closely and had the fires of 2017 very much on their minds. Oh, sorry, i thought that we had sound for you, but the people that we talked to overnight told us time and time again, and it feels like it is happening all over again, and they cannot believe it is happening again. And the conditions felt eerily similar with the big gusts of wind and the dry wind and the warm conditions and it felt like it was happening all over again. The town of geyserville was told to evacuate and not a big surprise to us as we were watching this thing move quickly and at will, and came on down here to the valley where before we watched it above and so, boy, it turned on us. And the winds though, again, they have died down, and the sun is coming up, and hopefully the firefighters will be able to get an aggressive attack on this thing. Before i sign off, let me show you the sky over here behind me. I have a gorgeous sunrise and clear blue skies, but looking west, and it is the sky right now. That is all smoke. Looks like bad clouds, but it is not the case. It is the smoke that the fire has put out. And talking to people and keeping in touch with the firefighters out here as we are trying to get a handle on the damage that this thing has done and i will tell you that it was a very intense night. Reporting live, Amy Hollyfield, abc7 news. Thank you, ai many. Anybody who is watching this, and not around two years ago during the fires, i mean, it was so traumatic, and these scenes that you have seen this morning, it was taken from Good Morning America and their crew out there, and these are looking so much like what we were experiencing, and amy was out there two year ags when she saw the fire jumng over the highway in santa rosa and really destroyed so many peoples homes and lively road hoods, and so there is a lot of ptsd that exists in the north bay two years later and people have done a lot to get on the path of rebuilding, but looking at the images like this, it is very scary and raw wound that is reminding people of what they experienced not long ago. For sure. People have said it. And amy has been talking to people who said it is too vid of a reminder. Yes, i was up there a week ago and ran into a woman who told me that she used to work in the hilton in downtown santa rosa and she has a new job now, but now with the power shutoffs and it is all coming back. And so we are hoping that this fire is nowhere near as destructive as what we saw two years ago, but with lisa i sag that there is another wind event this coming weekend, we have to be aware. And sky7 is back up in the air, and giving us a look now that there is daylight. All of the smoke. You have toge ma inthat amy is seeing that on the ground and the horizon. Sky7 is a diffe that the sun is up, and we can see the scope of the fire and see a lot of the smoke. I wonder if we can get closer to see the flames. Earlier, we saw how wide of a stretch it was and 11 miles that the firefighters will have to start tackling now, and this is definitely going to be so helpful for them, and sky map 7 is going to give us an idea, and this is the winery road that had to evacuate along with geysers road that had to evacuate, and when the fire jumped over highway 128, that is when geyserville had to evacuate, too. So sky7 is giving us a look at the smoke that is there, and how much smoke is there, and the sunlight. That is the biggest thing that the firefighters and the crews have been waiting for, because earlier, they said that the fire had outpaced them, because it was in the dark and really having the challenges battling the flames, but now that the sun is out, i think that they have a such big advantage now when it comes to attacking the fire especially from the air. I will feel better when i see the helicopters coming in to drop something on the fires. You want to see the airdrops. I cant say it has not happened, but so far, i have not seen it. And lisa is updating us all morning long with what has been happening with the winds, and lisa, i mentioned again this weekend another wind event which is not what we wanted to hear. No, but an interesting note of what the wind can do to the atmosphere, and looking at san jose, and there is a relative humidity at 60 , and the dew point at 38, and throwing in the wind in hillsburgh and we have dew point of 5 and the relative humidity is 8 . That is all due to the northeasterly winds gusting from 20 to 40 Miles Per Hour. So much of the peninsula, and the south bay, and looking at calm winds, in fact, many people where we live even in the north bay, it is calm, but you are going up 100 feet, and 500 feet, that is where the winds are blow, and we are already in the 70s in the north bay. The High Temperature is around 94 degrees near healdsburg. The good news is that the maybe three more hours of the winds over 20 and 30 Miles Per Hour, and then we will see them not as gusty, but it is still going to be dry, and the temperatures are still going to be in record territory, and 80s, 90 perhaps in san francisco, and talking about 85 pacifica and Half Moon Bay, and stinson could be in the upper 80s, so normally, yes, a great time of the year, and beautiful october weather, but, you know what, these winds have taught us otherwise with the dew points so low, it does not take much to have this, these fires start and spread with the dew points so low, and even when we are getting and onshore flow come rm to, it is not going to be much, and big time recovery and reggie alluded to sunday, the offshore wind events is going to be saturday into sunday and so this is a north bay event, and a little on the coast, but wait until you see what we are going to forecast for the weekend. It is going to encompass the entire wind, and we have seen winds up to 70 Miles Per Hour in sonoma, and wds much stronger than that for the sunday event and we dont want to get too nervous about that now, but you know it is this time of the year, and kw you know that we are dry, and we have not seen the rain for the month of october, and looking for high pressure, and control for today and tomorrow, and the winds coming back into play even with the cooler weather come saturday and sunday. You can really see from sky7 the hot spots when we asked what prompted the fire spread, and she said, hey, there are some hot spots, and these are popping up, and we dont want to take any risks, because that is something so small that can escalate and spread so quickly, and things like this that cal fire says they are watching and waiting to get into the air to attack these, this fire from overhead, but overnight, she said it is definitely a challenge, and hopefully things are going to turn around now that there is some daylight. I do need to let you know that i am getting some information that there are more School Closures and it is sounding like cloverdale unified School District, and healdsburg is closed. We had a bunch oschools closed because of the power outage, but more schools are closing because of the actual threat of fire and smoke. We are going to continue to update you at bottom of the the screen with that information, and also, okay. There is a helicopter there, and so that is always good news. I was going to say that i be feeling relieved when i see the air support coming in, and now we have it, and that is great. Well, we spoke to Sonoma County, and the department of education earlier, and she said that it is part of the closures because of the pg e, and the power safety shutoff and now you have an additional layer where they are having to close even more schools because of the fire, and she said that this is something that they will be watching because they have to determine for the students to come back to School Tomorrow depending upon what the firefighters are able to do and how quickly they are going to be able to get the fire under control. Yes. And we should be clear of where the fire is and isnt, and it isnt in a town right now, this is very much getting closer to geyserville, and that is the part of the evacuation, and it is in downtown geyserville, and not healdsburg, and having to close down the school, and in geyserville telling people to leave, because it is too much of the threat. Yes, the Biggest Issue is that this fire is spread sog quickly with the winds that lisa has been telling us about, and cal fire said that it is simply outpacing them. That is what they were dealing with this morning, and the decision to close the schools came down not long ago with just everyone wanting to be proactivity and make sure that students are safe, and people are safe, and the houses are safe, because as we have seen in the video, it started so quickly this morning. Yes, and Amy Hollyfield has spread so quickly on the ground. Amy. Hi, reggie, i am watching it kick back up again. I am seeing a big plume of smoke coming up out of the hills. I believe there are some flames in there, and so this thing is not giving up. We saw a helicopter coming into the area with the Fire Department and that is good news and happy to see them get above this thing. They have a huge fight on their hand, because this kinkade fire is not going if go away and the area is burning, and the area is contra, and looking over the a east, and a beautiful sunrise and gorgeous clear blue skies and them we look to the west, and clear dark smoke blanketing Alexander Valley, and it is heartbreaking to see this what is normally a gorgeous october day, and wonderful time, and harvest time, and time for the tourists to really enjoy the wine country. We did see one structure going up, and it could have been a winery, and we dont know. It was on right next to the Alexander Valley road, and where near the medlock winery, and the gemtown store, and we were sad to see that. That is the only confirmation that we have of the structure that has been edged by the fire, and the firefighters have not been able to get near it to assess the damage. They are so focused on trying to get this thing contain and get it out, and to protect any people and property al long the way obviously. And we have been watching the evacuations throughout tonight, and such an intense night with the people getting out of here with whole cars and everything they could squeeze in, in the limited time they had into the cars. A lot of them shaking the heads with tears in their eyes as they are remember ed vividly just tw years ago when they had toace r out of here because of those fires. So, everyone afraid that this is going to be as damaging, and could be as destructive, and hoping of course that it wont be anything like that, but boy, we see a lot of smoke right now, and we saw a lot of fire overnight. Reggie, kumasi. Yes, when you are naming all of the place, and that is a wonderful area, and by the stone street winery and i was just there a week ago. So many tourists having a great time and now talking about the fire, and so, as amy says, it is heartbreaking to see, and you want to keep the flames as far away from the structures, and you know, as amy saw one firsthand and the helicopter that amy was talking about a second ago, and that is good news, because it means that the air support is coming in, and we can get the fire retardant on the fire. Yes, definitely. I want to bring in greg who is in sky7 this morning flying above the fire. Greg, we have seen one helicopter, and what are you seeing . More . Yeah, kumasi, this is sky7 over the kinkade fire. Basically, we are seeing a lot of smoke as you can see if i pan to the left, and there is just a huge layer of the smoke here, and it is going to affect the quality of the people down in the kinkade, and excuse me, the geyserville area. It is very possible that the smoke is going to affect so many people, and fortunately, if you are to the west of it, you are okay, but to the west of this fire, the air quality is going to be very, very difficult for you. For sure, greg. Are you still able to see the helicopter that we saw earlier . We do see some air resources on the scene. There is one zooming in on the south side of the fire, and about to make a drop. We do have some tankers on the way, and still trying to assess the situation. We left the santa rosa airport, and a lot of the tankers were still on the ground, but we do have what they are calling the air tech which is the air boss who directs the assets over the fire, and they are on scene and giving direction as to where to attack the fire. Back to you. All right. Greg, thank you. It may be difficult to see because of the smoke, but you have been up there for a while, and are you continuing to spread and can you tell . It is continuing to spread and as you can see, it is blowing horizoally, d like the forecast have been indicating, it is going to be happening for the next few hours and this is going to continue to spread. It is kind of interesting, too, that there are spot fires north and east of the fires, and so it is kind of upwind and kind of a precarious thing to see other fires that are actually spreading to the east as well. All right. Greg, thank you so much for that. I appreciate the update and giving us this view from sky7 and now that the sun is up, and such a different view, and so much smoke, and so glad to see that they are battling this now with the airdrops, and having planned to at ak this fire this morning. We wanted to go back to lauren who has been at the Evacuation Center all morning long in healdsburg and how many people showed up there especially with the news of more schools closed today. You know, we are seeing more families, more children coming in with their backpacks, so i think that a lot of the young families are trying to figure out what to do this morning. If you are coming to the haldsburg Community Center, that i have volunteers to help you with any information that you are wondering about, and also pets. I wanted to bring in Debbie Christian from the sonoma family Animal Centers and even though you are not staying at the Evacuation Center, you can bring in the pet absolutely. We have a mobile rv and i can house upwards to 30, 40 pets ash and we will take care of them if you are staying here or the red cross shelter or with friends or the motel that may not allow you to have your pets. We are here to help the community. And it has been a long night. You have not slept. I have not. I activated about 12 30 this morning, and i went to the windsor shelter and took care of three cats and four fish there until the families could find a place to go, and they sent me up here. So if you know someone or you do have a pet, this brings this, and that you can provide just a stressfree moment for them as long as if they need to stay with friends or figure out a hotel or Something Like that. Absolutely. We have supplies. I have food and water, and kennels. So, we are here to help the community in any way we can. And you were mentioning with the Animal Services when they tried to partner with the red cross and when they find a place, and not every place can have humans and so that is where you come in . Exactly right. We can house 30 to 40 pets here, and also, we can transport the pets down to an mall shelter in santa rosa, and do hardship boarding for as long as people need. Okay. All right. Debbie, thank you so much. Youre welcome. Reporter and so earlier around 7 00, the mayor of healdsburg, they do expect a influx of people here coming to the Community Center and that why they opened the Community Center at the Sonoma County fairgrounds. Lauren martinez, abc7 news. Do they know how long they will stay open there . Here as far as healdsburg, they are going to stay open as long as people need, and they are going to not plan on shutting this location down yet, but i am seeing more evacuees trickling there, and what you mentioned with the school closing, there are a lot of the young families starting to show up here. And lauren, we, you have shown us a lot of cars there in the parking lot, and more and more people going inside . How many people would you say are there at this point . You know, the parking lot is full, and there are a lot of, i have seen a lot of the evacuees and i have decided not to go into the Community Center and they have decided to hang out in their car, and they were hoping that once the daylight comes, maybe they could just wait it out, but as you can see, this is going to take a lot longer than expected. So, i think that it is just peoples comfortability, and some, and they are coming here, but they are deciding to just stay in their cars, so, it is hard to tell. All right. Thank you, lauren. We appreciate your update. If you are just joining us at 8 14, we are preempting Good Morning America to show you what is happening in the north bay right now, and a fire broke out overnight which is the kinkade fire which is 10,000 acres and we expect, and cal fire confirms that the number is going to be significantly higher than that, and when they have ar night. It is out of control and zero percent containment. And you can see from abc sky7 how much smoke there is. There is a picture from healdsburg, and it is showing you how close it is. This is a winery there, and of courseb, this is wine country, and many of the companies have been dealing on and off with the Power Outages and the threat of fire, and so it has bneen a jus so difficult for them to be able to plan what is supposed to be one of the biggest seasons. It is a lot for them to deal with, and i mean, as if the power, potential power shutoff was not enough, they are thinking about this, too. So it is definitely, a lot that people are waking up to this morning and a lot to see when you are looking at sky 7, and seeing how much smoke is there, and reggie, what i am happy to see is that they have a helicopter, and able to do some drops that they are not dropping yet, and serving to get a better idea and develop a plan of how to strategically attack the fishgs and cal fire told us overnight, it is hard to get ahead, and the fire outpaced them, because it is dark and spread so quickly, we have some fastmoving winds there, and so that is really challenging, and the fire ended up spreading really quickly, and so now that it is daylight, we are getting a better sense of how big this fire s and they are out here attack attacking the fire overhead with water, but i want to bring in lisa, if i can quickly, because the winds are a factor, right, lisa . Yes, they are. And you know, the winds are not mixing down into the valley which is what a lot of the folks are thinking, well, it is not so windy and a nice morning and this is a moderate offshore event, and it is not huge. This is the winds 20 to 30 Miles Per Hour at times. And the diablo range is not looking at the gusty winds and much lighter, and so focused in the north bay, and in the Higher Elevations and on top of that, we have the warm and the dry conditions today, and we have those tomorrow, and then we will have stronger event coming into play, and more widespread the second half of the weekend, and the good news is that this is going to diminish, and the winds will diminish throughout the afternoon slowly, and here we are 8 00 in the morning, and the next couple of hours we will continue to see slowly diminishing winds and the numbers are 90 degrees for the High Temperature, and that going to put the air, and the dew point into the single digit, and we will not have the wind like we are having now, and it is looking calm out there at times on the spots of the surface, and this is what is happening in october when you get a little bit of the wind in the upper elevations, and we are building on this from the dry summer, and it has not been particularly hot. But we are getting the hot typical weather now, and that is not only going to take us through the rest of the day today, and tomorrow, but a little bit of the break over the weekend with some cooler weather, and then the upper elevation winds could be Even Stronger into saturday night into sunday, and then those winds could mix down into the valley, and so the east bay, and the south bay and not dealing with this, and there could be an enjoyable day at the coast and the 80s and warm nice afternoon and this is what we are going to get in october, and we have a offshore wind event a rord heat which is what we are looking at today, and the 80s koegs and low 90s inland. Kumasi. Thank you for the update, lisa. We are continuing to monitor the fire in Sonoma County and ek Evacuation Centers are open at the Sonoma County fairgrounds and so we want to get an update there of what going on. Can you hear me . Yes, i can. Thank you for your time this morning and we know that you have a lot going on, and give us a breakdown of the priorities right now, and what is going on . The priorities is to first get the folks who are under the mandatory Evacuation Order to be evacuated. Got ya. Has it been challenging, and do they have any alert system or going doortodoor . Yes, we have an alert system, and the sheriff puts out our own county alert. Also, i have heard that cal fire is going doortodoor. Do you feel that most of the people have been alerted or where do you standed on trying to make sure that everyone is evacuated . We are trying to put the word out that not only have we done the alerts, but the multiple posts on social media, and we have gotten the word out to media partners, and making sure that people understand the seriousness of the Evacuation Order, and to leave the areas that areffected and again, i would like to remind the folks that the town of geyserville is under an Evacuation Order and the kinkade fire has crossed highway 128 near moody lane. And so, if you are under an Evacuation Order, leave now. Got you. Have you been, and do you have a sense of how close this is getting to peoples homes there in geyserville or unfortunately, i dont know. I havent been given that information yet. And i did see that you have posted the Evacuation Centers opened if you need assistance. E have been telling people, and if they need help that they can evacuate their homes. Yes, it is important for if you do need a place to go, that these Evacuation Centers are open, and we are ready to take folks and, you know, we are here to serve the community. And so if they need help, we are here, and to heed the warning and head to the nearest Evacuation Center. And it is looking like you have prepared for everything as far as making sure that people have somewhere to sleep if they need to rest or lay down or if they need water. Yes. Sorry what was that again . It is loud here. No worries. We are also looking, too, at some of the planes going over the fire right now and doing some of the air drops and trying to keep people up to date on what is happening as far as the battle of the fire goes, and also on your end, because you are working to make sure that when people come to the Evacuation Centers, they are well taken care of. Yes, we are doing our best, and we are just opening them so that thing may not all be there and we will, you know, as the day goes on, itll be staffed with, you know, more resources to help people. For sure. What is the rest of the day looking like for you all as far as, and i know that you will be tracking the fire, but what are you guys planning as far as making sure that, you know, people have what they need and they are staying safe . Well, the most important thing is that the folks affected be i the Evacuation Order do have a place to go and that is including the shelter and making sure that the shelters are equipped to handle, you know, everyone who is affected coming in. Got ya. Anything that i did not ask you about that you think would be good for the people to know . Yes, i would like to mention that if you are not in the affected area, and if you are in the county and near the fire and not affected, just keep an eye out on all of the messaging that we have put the Sheriffs Department has sent out alerts and additionally the county has sent out so cal alerts and Sonoma County alerts, and just keep an eye on the news, and keep an eye on the web sites and the social media, and including the sheriffs. Got ya. So thank you so much for your time and making time to chat with us this morning and we know that you are busy and we appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you, we appreciate it, too. And we also want to check in with Amy Hollyfield who has been in helaldsburg, and we want to show you what we are seeing, and you are seeing, aimy . Sure. Cue mau circumstances i got off of the phone with cal fire and i got the update. They have ground crews in geyserville, and so far keeping it for the outskirts of geyserville, and the fire has not reached that town, and look at behind me of the latest of what the fire is doing, and lots of smoke still coming off of this one. And they think that they are going to have quite a firefight on the hands today, because of the winds expected. They are getting a birdseye view of it, and they sent up a helicopter, and able to map it, see it, and they are thinking that they can drop water on it within the next half hour. The conditions are looking more favorable now than they were overnight, and overnight, it was so windy, and this fire just moved at will. It is doing what it wanted, and they were just trying to corral it at that point. The winds were so erratic, and so intense, but since the sun has come up, and they have calmed down, and that is good news for this firefight, and they have been able to keep it from reaching geyserville. So they have evacuated and they did it as a precautionary measure and not sure what the winds were going to do and how long the strong winds were going to last, and they had a few spot fires to make them nervous, and that why they issued the evacuation, but if you are outside of geyserville wondering how it looks, right now, they tell us that it is to the outskirts. They are grateful to the vineyards here in the valley. They say they are a good fire break, and not a lot of vegetation below the vineyards to help carry the fire. And this fire is surrounded by vineyards and so Alexander Valley is going to have that going for it, all of the vineyards and not only producing wonderful grapes for all of us and also protecting the people and the property. A few structures have burned. We saw one right behind us burn. I just talked to cal fire, and one cal fire firefighter who has witnessed a handful of the structures and they dont know what, could it be a barn, a vineyard or home, we dont know yet and we have not been able to get in to assess and a handful of the structures have been lost, but no injuries have been reported and no deaths certainly at this point, and they dont have any dire news like that. But they do think that they will have an intense firefight on their hands and there is so much smoke in the valley from the huge monster fire that raged all night long. And back to you, kumasi and reggie. Thank you, ai many. When we are looking at sky7, we can understand why they feel that they will have an intense firefight on their hands. The spot fires and flaring up, and people are forced to evacuate. And lauren, you are at the Evacuation Center where people have had to leave their homes in the middle of the night. That is right. These are the people that are impacted, and we are still here at the Healdsburg Community center and we have parked next to tom and jan, and, tom, can you describe what your night has been like . I got a call from a friend that lives next door to me at 9 15 or Something Like that, and he says that we have a big fire and soy immediately jumped outside and you can see the glow. So i have a quad, and i jumped on it to have a nice view that we have, and watched it work its way up and over the ridge, heading our way to pine flat road. I stayed up all night long and it got closer and closer and very, very windy. This is not the first time that you have evacuated . No, no. It seems in the last few year, it is the same mountain that catches on fire pretty much coming up and out of the geysers. Yeah. We are used to it, but we are not happy about it. Reporter at what point did you realize that you had the leave . At, i think it s 5 00 at the quad, i came to get a closer look, and here comes the sheriffs and going doortodoor and housetohouse, and they were really get out now, grab your keys and your dogs and go. And basically that is what we did. So. So you and your wife jan came here . Yes, we came here. It is on the news where to go. So, that is why we are here, and waiting it out and dont know what will happen. Reporter have you heard from any of your neighbors . I am texting one neighbor who is still up there, and he says that it is not on fire yet. Hopefully it doesnt, but one of my wifes really good friend, and our good friend did lose the house by the casino there. So, it is pretty upsetting. And you know, where do you go from here . Well, we are going to sit here. Id like to go, and i can drive out somewhat and see my property well. And see what is going on from there and hopefully it is not burned down and i hope that there is a lot of helicopters and other tngs doing its thing, and saving us, and going to be a long day. You have not gotten any sleep . No sleep at all. And it was so windy, and knocking down humongous trees down the road, and dealing with that, too, and hooking a chain to my truck and dragging off giant trees, and this wind was pretty bad. Yes. And does this fire feel different than the other ones that you have experienced . This one seemed like it was coming at us the who lot faster. Really fast. It was making ground. I have seen you here with jan all night and kind of sitting here. Yeah, well, what else do you do . My phone is quacking off of the hook. And we are staying in touch with family. They are very concerned, too. Yeah, i dont know what the next step will be. What will happen. We will see what happens. Yeah. Tom, thank you so much for talking to us. Thank you. So tom and jan are just two voices that you have heard experience this fire and they like so many are feelingctly like that, and for a lot of people, too, they didnt have power, and so, all of this really is just developed when the Sheriffs Office knocked on their doors, and really just this rattling experience, and so obviously, our hearts are going out to everyone involved. Live in healdsburg, im Lauren Martinez. Thank you. That is the first time that we have heard of directly to someone who has said their friends home has burned as a result of the fire. That is tough to hear. Sky7 is going to have an intense firefight on their hands. And they have told Amy Hollyfield, cal fire, that they know it is a intense fire, but they are grateful for the wineries in the area, and not a lot of vegetation, and that is a good thing for them as they battle the fire, and less likely to spread, but we also wonder what that is going to mean for the wineries themselves. So we have yalder yarrow on the phone to give us a sense of the impact of the winery, and good morning. Good morning, how are you . I am well. How are you . Just fine, thanks. What are you thinking when you look at this and see the fire so close to the wineries there, and what is the impact . Well, the main problem as you noted, vineyards themselves dont burn well as we saw in last years fire, and they offer invaluable fire breaks to prevent structure loss and other significant damage, but the main concern is that we finished harvest and for most people, the grapes are in most of the wineries and busy fermenting, and most of the time that requires the temperature control which requires electricity, and a lot of the wineries, because of the blackouts have lost electricity and not able to control the fermentation control and unable to access the wineries because of the evacuation and not able to tend to the wine which is a critical state of transition for many people. And how do you combat that and going in knowing to make some changes or potentially lose the harvest . They may in fact lose some of the lines. I know that some were affected by the pg e Power Outages and his fermentation stuck, and he didnt have the wine, and he is going to have to throw the tank away. So it is depending on each individual case, but if you are not tend to the fermentations, they run out of control in terms of getting too hot or they dont complete the fermentation, and that can be a significant loss to the winery. Reggie, you said that you were up there visiting and that is a big part of it, too, visiting. And yalder, now that we are this space where we could be seeing the Power Outages like the last couple of days and now the fires that are more intense than they have ever been. What is the Wine Industry going to have to do to react to the long term . You will see a lot of people buying the solar insulations, and a lot of generators. It is obviously going to be reality for us for many years to come here. A lot of the wineries will be looking for alternative power source, and this is going to be an impact, because it took some time before the visitors returned to napa in the wake of the fires in the last few year, and so it had a negative impact on the tourism, and nobody wants to go to some place they have seen burn to the ground on the news. So it is unfortunate, but it is a real impact. So we need to get the message out there, and of course, we can do a better job of that, and we can do a better job of letting people know who they are and for the most part, Sonoma County and napa county are in business whenever they can be, and so we need to support the wineries and this industry, because it is so important to us, and i appreciate you being on the phone for us. Thank you. And so we also have will powers from cal fire who is on the phone with us, and giving us an update, and the work we are doing, and the helicopters in the air, and can you give us an update of what is going on . Currently the zero percent containment, and the aircraft were lifted off this morning and first time to get the eyes on the fire, and the fires started in the evening, and so those aircraft will be sizing up the fire and coming up with a plan, an initiating some firedrops and retardant drops to help with the ground forces. And we have seen on the ground what appears to be multiple structures that appear to be on fire, and do you have any idea how many structures are lost . Well, i am seeing the same stuff that you are seeing and your cameramen are down there with our guys and gals, and so i dont have how many, but i am seeing the same stuff that you are seeing. And so, we are saying 10,000 acres and obviously more than that at this point, do we know when we will get updated numbers . We are hoping with the aircraft getting up to get a more accurate number, and see at the top of the hour or something. Okay. I know that you talked to us about this is really the first time that you have been able to get an eye on the ir foo, and kind of like plan out what they are going to do, and what is the strategy when it is coming to fighting the fire like this when the winds are still blowing and it can still be a little unpredictable . Well, the weather permitting the assets are a huge resource, and also using dozers we are using all night, and putting in the lines to allow for the crews to go up to those line, and put the containment lines in, and support the dozer lines with the hose lays and the water and looking to put out the hot spots and get some control. How many aircraft are in the area now . Four air tankers an four copters and then also, the attack which is like the ic in the sky, so close to 10. And got you. And so as we are looking at the fire, it is hard to tell with all of the smoke if it is close at this point to any residences. Are you able to give us any information on that . I know that a lot of people are evacuated, but is it threatening homes . The mandatory evacuations are on the east side of 128, and so that is due to structure threats, and the town of geyserville was put in mandatory evacuation, and all of the residents there put under the mandatory, and this is in relation to the town and the way that the fire was burning. Will, at this point, do you have enough crews on the scene . Obviously, there were crews that were ready for this sort of thing to happen, and everyone knew that there was a possibility of the fire, and are there enough personnel at this point . It is reevaluated every minute and second, and tactics change, so as the tactics change, and as e incint evol evolves and the resources will be ordered as needed, but right now, we have over 400 personnel fighting the fire on the ground. Overnight, dwruked about how the challenge was not to be able to see in the area getting access in and out of the area that you needed to be to fight the flames and what would you say is the biggest challenge this morn ining . This morning it is the access and the weather. The weather, we are expecting the winds to continue throughout the day, and the higher temperatures with the lower relative humidities which can cause volatile fire conditions. Well, i am glad to see that the 10 aircraft as you mentioned are in the air, and the evacuees have been looking to the sky and waiting for that, too, and so we certainly hope that it is going to make a big difference. Will power with cal fire this morning and thank you for being with us, and thank you for the update. Yeah, no problem. And i mean, they are watching it, too there as the fire continues. And you been watching this, too, and what have you been noticing in the last few minutes or so that you been up in the air . Yeah, kumasi. I just checked with our map technology and earlier, i showed a line from the well, i will do it again and it is over 13 or so, and so it is spreading fast. Hang on a, sec. Let me get this map system to work here. Yeah, so, like, here you have the line and if i can continue down, this is, this line will show just how far the spread and we are close to the fire, so we cant get a wide angle of it, but it is definitely continuing to spread as the wind continues to blow, and it is going to continue the spread and as the conditions is continuing to flow, it is going to be difficult to slow down. And facing a lot of challenges, and you can see that, but we are also glad to see the aircraft that cal firis ow up in the air assessing this fire and developing a plan of attack, because he said that the challenge with the wind, and it is unpredictable, and also access is a challenge for the crews this morning. Lisa, you been tracking the wind, and he says tough because it is high, and that is making things hard for them when it comes to fighting the fire. Yes, and we have good news, because today is the peak warming and drying, and we also have peak wind gusts. So we will see them continuing to diminish rapidly diminish by the afternoon. The next couple of hours near the fire breezy and gusty and then significantly reduce, but we are looking at the temperatures 15 to 22 degrees above average. And talking 90. San francisco, oakland, san jose and 94 up here in the wine country, and the relative humidity overnight is dropping below 10 . And so a puff of wind with the dry brush and looking at the critical fire weather. So we are going to be seeing the conditions improve throughout the afternoon, and significantly improve tonight, as those offshore winds get cutoff and we have a little bit of the puff of the onshore push tomorrow, and we will see the temperatures above average, and again, for your friday. So, with the above pressure winds and gusty offshore winds and we have seen the critical fire weather, and we have seen 76mileanhour wind gusts up in the north bay, and then winds in mount diablo have been 30 to 22 miles an hour there and decreasing. And the Santa Cruz Mountains is not that big of a deal and at the surface, relatively light. Perhaps even a heat advisory from the National Weather service, and that is because we are looking at numbers anywhere from 15 to 22 degrees above average, and so you have to have the low relative humidity, and with this setup, this is typical moderate wind event, and this weekend, we will get into the stronger offshore wind event, and the winds are in excess of 75 to 80 Miles Per Hour in the north bay, and this is going to encompass a much larger east bay, and peninsula and everyone, and that is saturday night into sunday. This is going to dial back in the next couple of hour, and we are looking for extreme heat again today, or peak heat, i should say, and the cooler condition, and bit by bit, the weather should improve slightly as we get past about 11 00 today. All right. Thank you, lisa. As you have been explaining that to us, we have been looking at sky7nd seeing the flames still burning now, and also seeing a helicopter in that area, and we have been told by cal fire they were up in the air trying to assess what is going on and making the plan. They have, what, 8 to 10 and maybe more aircraft in area prepared to do the water drops and get this fire under control. Yes, they said 10 aircraft total and one of them is coordinating the efforts, and that is including that one, but most of them are of course carrying the water and the air tankers to fight the fire from the air which is really what they have been hoping for. We also have been checking out t the pg e map and the area in pink are the ones in the part of the planned outage starting yesterday for the north bay. And those outages we have watched them increase this morning, because of the fire that is hitting that exact same area, and fortunately the outage maps are working this morning in case you wanted to check it out. And we have links on the website, abc7news. Com, and youiyou seeing on the righthand side of the screen, and also, you can see as the flames are continuing the burn in the for estesteder yas, and they have kept out the flames from the structures and also heard some anecdotal stories from the people in the Evacuation Centers who have talked to their friends who seen their homes have been burned or worried that their homes are next. So that is something that they are, we are all watch, because that is the last thing that we want to see is this going into the populated areas. Yes, but look at this, how close the fires are right here to the power lines and the flames and the smoke. It is really just giving you a sense of everything that is going on and so many different issues that have to be thought about when fg the fire. And so right now, cal fire telling us that they have not gotten any further updates about the scope of the fire. They are saying 10,000 acres and zero percent contain aed and a short while ago they got the first eyes on the fire and we saw aircraft, and what they are trying to do at this point is to try to get a scope of the fire. And also, make a plan. They said it is going to be challenging, and you can see the different hot spots and the fires and the flames burning very intently, so you c understand why they say it chal addition to the fire they are fighting, it is an issue of access. So we have crews fighting this from the air, and you also have hundreds of firemen who are on the Ground Fighting this fire, and this is another one on the ground, and im not sure if they are doing a waterdrop or assessing, but they have several aircraft in the area, and they are making sure that the fire is put out as quickly as possible, and making sure that everyone in the area who is asked to evacuate is going to do that and we have been looking all morning long at the impact on the roads that are being closed as a result of the evacuations and the fire spreading. Yes, i have been following what is coming in from the california patrol. Highway 128 remains closed in both directions between tubbs lane and geyserville avenue due to the cain cakinkade fire. We were able to get an exclusive look at that from the sky7, and the idea of why that is. There is so much smoke on both sides of the highway there and making it difficult for people to get through. All morning long, this is what First Responders want us to do, because this is not on reopening the roads that are closed here, and that is to make sure that people are evacuating and getting to save locations and hopefully as the day goes on to get this fire under control. And so a little bit more on the closures there, and more on the area, and cloverdale, and geysersdale road, and Alexander Mountain road and pine flat road which is where the man that Lauren Martinez interviewed is closed, and all of the roads east of highway 128 to geyserville is going to in place, and the kinkade fire crossed highway 128 near moody lane this morning and it is continuing to head west. If you need to head to an Evacuation Center, Healdsburg Community center is an option for you and the fairgrounds are open as well in santa rosa, and also, i wanted to mention this, the log coming in, and from the california highway patrol, and it is looking at 8 21 this morning, the jordan winery in healdsburg, people were trying to get out of the car and got stuck, and so they needed help to navigate this area. Take your time, and be clear of the route before you leave your home, because we know that the service is spotty up there, and the power is not functioning in many areas up there as well. So, be mindful when you are heading out on the roadway and tracking that as well near the traffic center. Thank you, jobina, and dont be in the area if you dont need to be there and that is obvious, but i suppose it is worth saying, because the emergency crews need to have that clear. Amy hollyfield is in healdsburg watching the fire progress and you see the huge plume of smoke behind her. Hello, amy. That is what we are watching now, reggie. A lot of smoke. And we are not experiencing any wind which is a contrast to what we have experienced overnight, and let me step out of the way so you can see the smoke we are facing, but we are not seeing the intense flames overnight, and also not dealing wih the wind. It is a gusty windy night. But the winds have died down, and that is great. So it is very hot, and so, i have t take out any jacket here, and i wanted to show you some video that we did shoot around 6 30 this morning of we did see a structure going up in the flames, and this is on highway 128, and watching from Alexander Valley road, and the firefighters have told me that they are seeing a few examples of this, and so, they have not been able to get in and assess how many of the structures they have lost, they have seen a handful. They have kept it to the outskirts of geyserville, the town, and so at this point, i am thinking that it has not hit any neighborhoods, but maybe outbuildings or winery and we just dont know yet. And we did talk to people overnight as they were watching this happen, and told to evacuate as they have very much the 2017 fires on their minds. Reminiscent of 2017. It is closer and this is worrisome, and it is Mother Nature and we are powerless. Overwhelmed and dont know what is going to happen. Two firemen came to the back door and alerted us. We were sound asleep. They said there is a fire in the hills, and the wind is changing, and it was reminiscent of a couple of years ago and so we were able to evacuate safely. So we are very aware of how fast it can come. And so, it is amazing but sad. My folks lost their house in the fire, so, yeah. And i had a lot of friends who lost their home, and so i wanted to get out to check it out. Reporter here is another look at the fire from overnight, and what the firefighters were facing. It was so difficult for so many different reason, and really, steep, rugged terrain and obviously dark and windy. This fire, you know, it did what it wanted, and it just ran in Different Directions. It changed hillsides and started on top of the hill and went down to the valley and hopped a highway. So they were trying to corral it, and now they think that it is going to be the ability now to have the ability to get it put out and surrounded. But they are expecting more winds this morning, and so they are not letting down the guard at all. They believe they have a firefight ahead of them. One ning this their favor, all of the vineyards and notice that down below, there is not a lot of vegetation, and so not a lot for the fire to grab on to and travel and use as fuel. So that is a good fire break for them, and the Alexander Valley is so full of vineyards and why so many people come here to visit and not only beautiful, and wonderful grapes, but they serve as a tool, as a helper in the firefight. Again, they have kept it on the outside of geyserville, and they have fought it off and ground crews there, and evacuated the town because of a precaution, and they said that the winds were so erratic and so strong they were not sure how long it would last. And they were seeing spot fires and making the call. So at the same time we made our own call to move away, because it is so unpredictable, and crazy night. So we are hoping they get the upper hand on this soon. Reporting live from healdsburg, Amy Hollyfield. Yes, and it is so scary when people are told to evacuate in the middle of the night, and they are in the dark already because of the power shutoff. Scary situation for people overnight, and we have been with youn the air since 4 00 a. M. , and watching this fire spread, and the best news that we have is that, and now we have air support out there, and we have some light and see where the fire is spreading and less dangerous and the ground because of that, but as far as the winds, and you can see and heard amy say that it has died down where she s but it is coming and going all morning. Yes, lisa is tracking it for us, and what are we soog as far as the winds . Well, the winds at the surface are not that strong. You heard amy talk about the heat. And look at 59 in san jose. This is how warm the day is. We are in the 60s to upper 70s at Half Moon Bay, and also, the camera shaking from sutro where we have no wind, and petaluma, an concord and liver momore wit the delta and 38 in the Half Moon Bay, and that is where we are looking at the winds from 20 to 30 Miles Per Hour, which is significantly less than 50 to 70 overnight. So the winds will continue to lighten up. 11 00, the shade is lighter, and breezy and then by noontime, a sharp dropoff in the winds. You can see the east bay and the south bay and very calm, and warm, and we could see a heat advisory throughout the day today with all three metropolitan areas, and hitting 90, and the beaches hitting close to 90, and the current relative check is 94n napa, and adding in the nd, and you will see the fire weather throughout the day, and you will see it expire by 4 00 tonight. Then we get into the cooler temperatures on saturday, and tomorrow it is still a warm day, and you think, sunday, great, in the 70s, and no, this is a bigger and stronger offshore wind event and it could take us into monday and highs today, and the low relative humidity, and the fire danger from 16 to 25 degrees above normal, and the good thing is that the winds are diminishing and diminishing in the next two to three hours. Thank you. And we know so many people who have been forced to evacuate because of thefire, and lauren has been there at the evacuation nter all morning for us, and talk tock the people who have had to leave their homes in the middle of the night and at one of the Evacuation Centers in Sonoma County, lauren. Yes, we are still here at the Healdsburg Community center, and this is olga and her sister audrey. Olga, you have been living in geyserville for 22 years, and what has tonight been like . Hectic. It is the first time i have ever evacuated and it is strange, the whole thing. I kept packing up, and i wok up this morning actually, and i had a sense of something a wrong, and sure enough, they said that we may need to evacuate, and soy immediately started to pack everything up. Medicines and things like that, and papers, and na, in the last minute, they will let us know that we dont have to evacuate like two years ago. But it finally came by, and so we heard the police signal, and we got in the cars, and you know, my son packed everything in the cars, and we came in three cars, and so here we are. I brought my 22yearold bird who is old and cant walk, and cant fly. And then my little yorkie. Oh. I am so sorry. All right. I had to leave my fish behind. So you plan on staying here . I dont know. Maybe we are going to the hotel, so i dont know. Thank you so much for talking to me. Thank you. Thank you. I am sorry, it is so smoky out here. So many of the evacuees are wearing masks, because it is smoky and the ash is falling down. Thank you, lauren. I can imagine that it is a lot to deal with. We have david rabbit on the phone from the Sonoma County board of superintendents, and Sonoma County has been through so much already this fall. What is on your mind . Well, the here we go again feeling and obviously, our thinking about the friends in the geyserville area, and the good thing is that we were prepared as much as we can be, and declared the Emergency Operation center, and we upstaff now for all red flag warning events with two strike teams, and that is 10 engines that we wouldnt have staffed otherwise. So we had the resources available, but on the days with the winds whipping down from the tops of the ridges in the areas above the geysers there, and until the morning comes and the winds subside, the firefighters certainly have their hands full. David, we are looking at what is happening on the screen with the fire destroying a part of the county, and looking forward to the weekend when the winds could pick up again and have a major wind event, and possibly more Power Outages. Exactly. And this weekends winds are to be stronger than last night, and we saw what happened last night. So we are unfortunately, the new normal is that this Public Safety power shutoff, the psps, and we have experienced two, three vents. One is large, and this is a little less than last. We had 100,000 people with the power cutoff and undoubtedly more with the power starting to be restored this afternoon and that wont be much different in the fire areas, and of urse and david, i have to interrupt you, because it is announcer its live with kelly and ryan. Today the thriller from the the lighthouse, willem dafoe. And the star of harriet, cynthia erivo. Tsrorecording artist lindsey stirling, all next on live [cheers and applause] and now, here are kelly ripa and Ryan Seacrest [cheers ers and applause]
