The chp is now saying this was a headon collision right here on port chicago highway. They say the driver of a camaro veered out of his lane, crashed headon into a pickup truck, which was carrying a 51yearold man and a 46yearold woman. The crash ended up here in this yard. A 20yearold that was inside that camaro, the passenger, was killed. The chp spokesperson got emotional talking about this accident, saying it did no have to happen. The chp says a driver under the influence of drugs and alcohol is to blame for this massive crash that killed one person, critically injured two others and hurt himself. The two vehicles landed in the yard of this bay point home just before 1 00 this morning. Right outside the window where mark martin was sleeping. Sounded like a bomb went off, to be honest. It was one of the loudest shook the whole house. And i i thought it was almost a dream until i heard a man screaming. Reporter he says a neighbor ran over with a crowbar and tried to reach the woman inside the pickup truck. They were trying to get the lady out of the car before the police got here but the crowbar wasnt enough for the size of the crash, so he couldnt get them out of the car. Reporter emergency crews arrived and took over, getting the couple inside the pickup truck to the hospital, whether those victims are in critical condition. The passenger in the camaro was killed. Investigators believe his driver is to blame. I feel terrible more than anything because, you know, last thing you want to do when you open up you hear a bang outside your house, you dont expect to see people dead on your lawn. Reporter as a chp spokesperson released the details of the accident just a few feet from where it happened, he angrily called for the end to driving under the influence. Its 2018. Developing news out of antioch. Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman between county q and j streets. The woman was rushed to the hospital where is in critical condition. Sky7 was over the home after 7 00 this morning as firefighters tried to put the fire out. Firefighters were able to keep those flames from spreading into the garage and into a secondstory addition. Firefighters say the woman was treated for smoem ke inhalation. The woman and her dog are doing well. The cause is still under investigation.
