The president is scheduled to survey the islands damage on tuesday. This morning, he criticized government officials in puerto rico on twitter, saying the mayor of san juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the democrats that you must be nasty to trump. Such poor leadership ability by the mayor of san juan and puerto rico want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 federal workers now on island doing a fantastic job. The mayor tweeted her response an hour later, saying, the goal is one saving lives. This is the time to show our true colors. We cannot be distracted by anything else. A local tech investor is donating 10 million to puerto rico relief. Orlando bravo is a native of the island. The chronicle reports he chartered a jet from the bay area with 100 water purifiers and nearly two dozen medical iv bags. The donation will come from his foundation that supports social justice in the hispanic and latino communities. Diapers are headed to storm victims in houston. New developments this morning, the air force academy has been given the all clear after a part of the campus was put on lockdown. Authorities say there were no shots fired or any injuries. The academys prep school near Colorado Springs went on lockdown overnight after reports of an active shooter. Investigators say everyone there is safe. Geologists say the danger of another giant rock fall at Yosemite National park is no greater than it usually is. One climber was killed and two others injured after two slides at el capitan on wednesday and thursday. The one thursday involved a slab of rock the size of a 36story building. It was many times the size of the one on wednesday. The rubble broke through the sunroof of an suv and injured jim evans of florida. Rock falls happen regularly inside the park. Nearly 60 were reported last year. Heating from the sun has turned out to be an explanation for some of the rock falls. Ice and water also cause slides. Experts say there were two in a row this week because when rocks start falling in one area, theyre likely to continue coming down. Several wildfires in Santa Barbara county are burning right now. Hundreds of people have been forced out of their homes yesterday. Evacuation orders were lifted late last night. One shed was damaged. The fire has burned 600 acres so far and is 10 contained. The flocks held the family hostage. It was about the june time frame that we had to stop opening our windows because the smell was so bad, we were afraid for our children especially to be breathing that kind of smell. More than 100 protesters and supporters gathered last night in fresno as the former sheriff spoke at a republican fundraiser. He said he didnt ask for President Trump to pardon him for contempt of court on his immigration patrols but said he was not guilty and that the real story will come out soon. Arpaio also said he believes a border wall will stop drug traffic from coming into the country. Spacex chief elon musk says a planned mega rocket that will take astronauts to mars could also be used as a high speed commercial airliner. Musk described the plan during a presentation in australia. The two are recovering after a Successful Operation in which one friend gave a kidney to another. Reporter a unique bond between two people forever connected by a special gift. Reporter santa cruz resident kelly van den bergh and her friend josh harrold who live in Orange County are recovering in the hospital after she received one of his kidneys. I have this person in my life willing to, you know, give me his kidney to save me. Thats really powerful. Reporter van den bergh has been living with poly cystic Kidney Disease for 30 years. Its a genetic disease that causes cysts to grow uncontrollably in the kidneys. Facing kidney failure and dialysis, van den bergh turned to social media last year with the hope of finding a living kidney donor. We were what the doctors call a perfect match.
