Firefighters tell me has burned today. And there was a structure in there, as well. That may bring our structure loss total up to four buildings. The places evacuated south of the incident and over here west of the incident. We are on dam road, which is about here. Now, i tell you, that is about a threemile distance from the ridge line. One of the concerns were talking about is the ash and the embers. Our equipment, you can see just the amount of ash that was collected on this gray foam and if theres an ember in that, it could really ignite this grass. Firefighters say its 100 assurety that if an ember falls, it will ignite the grass. Thats why theyre having such a problem with containment because of the dry conditions and because of the drought and everything takes so quickly. There are a lot of communities right now that are on advisory. They are onned a evacuation advisory. And there are mandatory advisories, as well. There is a long list and cal fire and the Sheriffs Department are keeping people notified and if you get the word to leave you better do so. Were live near clear lake. Terrific job. Well, conditions are very tricky. Weather not helping, really. Sandhya patel is tracking details. The dry conditions that is not helping the firefighters. The wind has started to drop off. It is now gusting out of the south at 11 miles an hour. Relative humidity is slowly coming up. It is 23 . Still hot there near the fire line. 95 degrees. So far 18,000 acres you can see the area that is burning. But the next 24 hours the wind gusts are expected to continue to drop off and winds will become quite light towards the morning hours. San jose had a trace amount of rain earlier this afternoon. And as you take a look about 148 miles west of San Francisco, numerous lightning strikes and thunderstorms have been firing up in the Sierra Nevada. In the Sierra Nevada another fire is burning in the another golden trout wilderness. This is the ash the flames have left behind on some cars and some homes. Nearly 2,000 acres are burning right now. More than 150 firefighters are fighting those flames. The cause of the wildfire are lightthening and thunderstorms are priblthed for the next few days in that area. Rangers are on high alert after more than 100 lightning strikes yesterday sparked at least ten wildfires. More thunderstorms are expected tonight. We have some pictures of two of the small fires burning. The blue fire, that is so far scorched two acres on the upper lake. Ranger districts and the fire right now it is own burned one acre so far in the wilderness and they hope it stays that way. A train is stalled because a train hit someone on the tracks. Trains in both directions are currently stopped in the city acal train investigates. There are approximately 400 passengers on one of those stalled trains. This is cal trains 16th fu fatality so far this year. A deadly shook the normally Quiet Community today. Sonoma county sheriff investigators say a man with a shotgun went into a home on Taylor Street and took his exgirlfriend and two other women in the home captive this morning. When the women tried to escape investigators say he shot one of them several times. Abc 7 news was there when police shut down the roads and asked people to stay indoors whim they searched for the shooter. The man later shot and killed himself in the same house. Its raising a lot of questions about what happened to a man in San Francisco who was bleeding from his head surrounded by security guards. Abc melanie joins us. As that pd tells me that the man in the video was not armed. Tonight he is not facing shoplifting or trespassing charges. Just moments ago, abc 7 news winsed another take down inside bloomingdales. We want to warn viewers, some of this video may be disturbing. The Youtube Video shows what appears to be four plained clothed security guards inside bloomingdales surrounding a man on the ground bleeding. One employee is intent who shot the video with his cell phone. I thought i walked into a gang fight quite frankly. When i realized that these are actually undercover security for bloomingdales, i pulled out my camera. Because it just didnt seem right. Reporter accordinging to the San FranciscoPolice Department the man on the ground was charged twice with shoplifting from bloomingdales. Ans officer asked him to leave when the altercation occurred. It just seemed pretty excessive given whatever had happened and given the blood and trauma that i have seen. Reporter the man on the ground was not armed. Was this an excessive use of force . Its really hard to determine based on the video because you see what happened after the fact. It doesnt look pretty and it looks really bad to be frank. But, you know, again, we dont know what the use of force was. Reporter sfpd says the man was taken to sf general with nonlifethreatening injuries and he has not filed charges against the officers. Bloomingdales told abc 7 news the Department Store is cooperating and they declined to comment and did not respond to a request for instore surveillance video. Then a different shopper gave us this video taken today. It shows bloomingdales Security Officers on top of another man. One of three men convicted in the bus killing has been paroled. Governor brown could have blocked parole, but did not. Nearly half the pelican deaths at the International Bird rescue center are caused by fishing line strangulation. Thats why the golden gate society has begun putting special plastic resipticals at popular fishing spots. Fishermen can dispose of their fishing line. Fishermen are often kind of careless with excess line and kind of tug it out of the water when theyre done with it and wrap it around something and leave it out in the environment. And its a really serious hazard. So far ten receptacles have been placed in fishing spots in oakland, and san leandro. The fishing line will get recycled and made into artificial reefs. Palo alto mid60s and Half Moon Bay a 60 degree dew point. If it feels sticky to you, there is a reason for it. Temperatures are down compared to 24 hours ago. 2 to 11 degrees cooler compared to Half Moon Bay. Just absolutely gorgeous from our south beach camera. This will make for a lovely sunset tonight, if you get a chance to see it and there arent enough. There arent too many low clouds. 63 in San Francisco and 70 in oakland and 76 san jose.
