Kaitlyn Carlino gets bond reduction in Pineville

A girl arrested as a juvenile in a drug-related homicide and later indicted on a first-degree murder and other charges had her $500,000 bond sharply reduced on Tuesday.
Ninth Judicial District Court Judge Greg Beard granted the motion and set bail for Kaitlyn Leeann Carlino, 17, at $25,000 just days before her 18th birthday. Jail booking information does not show up for Carlino on the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office website.
Testimony from a Pineville Police Department detective in the hearing provided new details into the shooting of Edwin Davidson Jr., 17, who died in October 2020 after three men opened fire outside an Orchard Loop home because they were mad about being cheated in an earlier drug deal.
