New Delhi: Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an appeal l to keep Haridwar Kumbh Mela “symbolic” amid surging COVID-19 cases in the country, the chief of Juna Akhara, Swami Avdheshanand Giri called off the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Haridwar.
Taking to his Twitter, Giri said that the people of India and their survival is first priority for the seers.
