SAGINAW, MI — A judge has found a Saginaw County man who fatally stabbed his roommate and removed his heart to have been insane when he committed the grisly deed, and the victim’s family is not happy with the outcome of his trial.
Morgan D. Notestine, 46, on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 9, appeared via Zoom from the Saginaw County Jail before Saginaw County Circuit Judge Manvel Trice III. Notestine waived his right to a jury trial, opting to proceed with a bench trial in which Trice would serve as the sole determiner of fact.
