Our new president has a well-documented fondness for ice cream and now he’s getting his very own flavor. Joe Biden is a fan of the brand Jeni’s Splendid, an Ohio-based ice cream company, and has become friends with its founder, Jeni Britton Bauer. Over the years she’s gotten to know his go-to order and now she’s created a flavor based on it.
To celebrate the 46th president’s first days in office, Britton Bauer has made White House Chocolate Chip, which is inspired by his favorite order: a double scoop of chocolate chip ice cream on a waffle cone. Jeni’s Splendid’s take on that is “velvety vanilla” ice cream with crunchy chocolate flakes from Theo Chocolate swirled with little pieces of chocolate-covered waffle cones. You can get it by the pint
