Javits Center Now 24/7 Vaccination Site After Shipment Of Johnson & Johnson Shot

Jacob Javits Center is officially a 24/7 vaccination site after state officials announced a pilot program to administer its allotment of Johnson & Johnson's one-dose COVID-19 shot there, adding to the list of sites across the city that are offering vaccines round the clock.
Appointments were already booked overnight for the Johnson & Johnson shot, which will only be offered at the massive Manhattan convention center from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. seven days a week. New Yorkers can also receive the vaccines produced by Moderna and Pfizer at the center during daytime hours though they require two doses administered weeks apart. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a single dose that is 85% effective. Any shot a New Yorker wishes to receive requires an appointment. New Yorkers are required to make an appointment to receive the vaccine.
