WARREN — A Trumbull County inmate who has given corrections officers nothing but problems since his incarceration last summer was given a 30-month prison term on consecutive sentences from two cases in Common Pleas Court on Thursday.
Austin G. Lunsford, 27, of Risher Road SW, read a letter of apology for the court, but Judge Ronald J. Rice only had questions for the defendant before pronouncing sentence.
Lunsford first was sentenced to 18 months on a failure to comply charge connected to a September 2020 ATV chase on Summit Street with Warren police. Then, Lunsford was given a 12-month sentence for an assault conviction linked to the defendant biting a jail doctor in the arm as he tried to give him medical aid at the lockup on Dec. 3, 2020. During that incident, Lunsford allegedly had stuck his private part in a hole in the wall of his cell, according to reports.
