WARREN A man who in 2017 was given two years in prison on gun charges is named in a superceding indictment charging him with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance of drugs and aggravated possession of drugs with specification for forfeiture.
Tre’Vaughn L. Walker, 28, of Stewart Drive NW, Warren, the brother of a man who died in an October 2013 police-involved shooting on Risher Road SW, is scheduled for arraignment on the new indictment by the Trumbull County grand jury next week before Common Pleas Judge W. Wyatt McKay.
The court record shows he originally was charged in October with three felonies in a case tied to an Aug. 28, 2020, Warren police traffic stop.

WARREN A Trumbull County inmate who has given corrections officers nothing but problems since his incarceration last summer was given a 30-month prison term on consecutive sentences from two cases in Common Pleas Court on Thursday.
Austin G. Lunsford, 27, of Risher Road SW, read a letter of apology for the court, but Judge Ronald J. Rice only had questions for the defendant before pronouncing sentence.
Lunsford first was sentenced to 18 months on a failure to comply charge connected to a September 2020 ATV chase on Summit Street with Warren police. Then, Lunsford was given a 12-month sentence for an assault conviction linked to the defendant biting a jail doctor in the arm as he tried to give him medical aid at the lockup on Dec. 3, 2020. During that incident, Lunsford allegedly had stuck his private part in a hole in the wall of his cell, according to reports.
