Indian River County ending its mass vaccination clinic Friday

Vaccinations remain available at the Florida Department of Health office in Vero Beach, 1900 27th St.; Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital; Treasure Coast Community Health; and Whole Family Health. Publix Super Markets, CVS and Walgreens also provide vaccinations.
The Health Department will begin offering no-appointment vaccinations 8:30-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.Mondays through Thursdays beginning May 5, Keenan said.
The county began vaccinating at the fairgrounds in January, focusing on those 65 and older, healthcare workers and those with underlying health conditions. More than 85% of those seniors had been fully vaccinated as of earlier this month, giving county officials reason to consider closing the clinic.
