INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. â Officials in Indian River County announced a mass vaccination site located at the fairgrounds will close Friday.

The Health Department will begin offering no-appointment vaccinations 8:30-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.Mondays through Thursdays beginning May 5, Keenan said.
The county began vaccinating at the fairgrounds in January, focusing on those 65 and older, healthcare workers and those with underlying health conditions. More than 85% of those seniors had been fully vaccinated as of earlier this month, giving county officials reason to consider closing the clinic.
