ARUNDEL, Maine — The election on Tuesday, June 8, was a good one for incumbents, and for a write-in candidate too.
Incumbents Daniel Dubois and Philip Labbe each won three-year terms on the Arundel Board of Selectmen, according to unofficial results provided by Town Clerk Emily Nedeau after the polls closed Tuesday. Labbe received 220 votes, and Dubois was close behind with 216. Challenger and newcomer Rod Sparkowich placed third in the race with 59 nods from voters.
For the town's Budget Board, incumbents Shawn Hayes and Michelle Allen each secured another three-year term. Hayes got 193 votes; Allen, 191. Another challenger and newcomer on the ballot, Michael Monk, received 72 votes.
