SOLON, Ohio – City Council approved an operating budget of about $43.5 million for 2021 at its final meeting of the year Monday (Dec. 21).
The original general fund budget, presented to council’s Finance Committee at a budget hearing in November, was $44,037,176. But that included an estimated operating deficit of $843,648, and Ward 7 Councilman Bill Russo indicated at council’s Dec. 7 meeting that he would not support the budget if it remained unchanged.
