ILWomen DII Roundup: And Then There Were Four

And then there were four. After seven hard-fought games over the weekend we are down the final four teams who will play for the NCAA Championship this coming weekend. No matter what happens we will have a first time National Champion as none of the four schools in the NCAA Semifinals have previously appeared in a women’s lacrosse championship game, much less won a title. We’ll take a look at each of the Regional Championship games and you might notice a theme as the four regional hosts all claimed victories on Sunday.
