The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked President Bola Tinubu’s government to identify, arrest and punish those responsible for the arrest of the Nigeria Labour Congress President, Comrade Joe Ajaero. SaharaReporters earlier reported the arrest of Ajaero by the police in Owerri, the Imo state capital while organizing a rally to protest against stalled wage payments for workers in the state. The NLC later said Ajaero was “thoroughly” brutalised and almost blinded.
