Yet for years magazines have been seen as a luxury - a nice-to-have item. The arrival of Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdowns changed all of that: Kiwis quickly realised that magazines - and their power to connect, engage and create a community - were, in fact, essential.The government however, thought otherwise.
