Homicide detectives are investigating after deputies found a man’s body buried on a Fallbrook property, a sheriff’s lieutenant said Friday.
Deputies were investigating what homicide Lt. Tom Seiver called a “suspicious circumstance” Wednesday when they found the victim buried on a residential property on South Ridge Drive, south of Live Oak Park Road. The area, on the north end of town, features large residential lots and vegetation.
Deputies called homicide detectives. The man’s body was exhumed and taken by the Medical Examiner’s Office, Seiver said.
He said officials are trying to figure out who the man is. Seiver declined to say how the man died, but said it was deemed a homicide.
