HOLYOKE — Police on Friday arrested a city man who has been charged with killing Robert James, a 52-year-old Agawam resident, in October.
Police arrested Felix Torres-Rodriguez, 28, after a detective assigned to a road construction detail reportedly saw him near Spring Street. Torres-Rodriguez was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of James, whom police found with a gunshot wound on Oct. 30 after he was involved in a car crash on Main and Spring streets.
“The detective contacted other officers who responded to the area and arrested Torres-Rodriguez a short time later,” Hampden District Attorney’s Office spokesman James Leydon said in a statement.
