Hiker, 23, plunges 80 feet to his death from a trail at the Grand Canyon National Park

Jaiquan Carter, 23, from Phoenix, died Tuesday in the park
He fell from the popular South Kaibab Trail and landed above the Black Bridge
Incident unfolded when Carter was day hiking along the trail, authorities said
An investigation has been launched by the National Park Service in partnership with the Coconino County Medical Examiner's Office
His death comes just six months after a 49-year-old woman died from heat exhaustion while hiking along the same trail in June 
In July another woman died when she fell 100 feet from another park trail
