TAMPA -- An early Sunday morning crash on I-4 has left one person dead, two others seriously injured, and the driver facing major charges.
The Florida Highway Patrol says it measured the speed of a car moving westbound near the Mango Road exit at 111 mph. The sergeant then pulled out to pull over the Hyundai. As he pulled up alongside it, the driver made a hard right turn and went flying over the fence, landing at a Ford truck dealership (Gator Ford) and crashing into a Ford F250 pickup, then a light pole and a palm tree. As the Hyundai flipped over, a 19 year old passenger flew from front to back as two others were completely thrown out of the car.
