Harleston Beavers member goes above and beyond in earning his lockdown challenge badge
 | Updated: 10:49, 23 December 2020
The food collection efforts of a boy have resulted in several boxes of items being passed to Waveney Foodbank.
Arthur Bentley, six, who lives in Harleston and is a member of the 1st Harleston Scouts-Beavers Colony, earned a lockdown challenge badge by asking everyone at his school to donate what they could to help others who are in danger of going hungry this Christmas.
He was given the option to raise money for a foodbank as part of the badge and, after finding out that foodbanks existed to help people who could not afford food, he wrote to his friends at Alburgh with Denton Primary School to help boost donations, going above and beyond what was required for his badge.
