Halifax Health's urgent care center in Daytona Beach Shores, the only facility of its kind on the beachside, will officially open for business on July 1, according to the city. 
Until then, the hospital system will complete training for staff members, install equipment and perfect practices, according to hospital spokesman John Guthrie. 
The new facility, which is called ExpressCare, has created an additional 10 jobs in the Daytona Beach Shores community, according to the hospital system. 
"Halifax Health is committed to increasing access to health care for everyone in the area," said Halifax Health President and CEO Jeff Feasel in an emailed statement. "By working with the City of Daytona Beach Shores we have been able to do that on the beachside with this newest ExpressCare. In addition to the Daytona Beach Shores location, we will have ExpressCare in Port Orange, Ormond Beach and Deltona.”
