PANAMA CITY BEACH — One local hospital is adding a second freestanding emergency room to its medical services in Bay County.
According to a press release from Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center in Panama City, the freestanding ER will be located at the intersection of Panama City Beach Parkway (U.S. 98, Back Beach Road) and Moylan Road. Officials expect to break ground later this year.
Gulf Coast Regional CEO Brad Griffin said the ER will give patients and families more access to emergency care. Currently, Panama City Beach does not have a full-service hospital.
