Gorey students 'not being listened to'

Sixth Years at Gorey Community School have come together to create a Student Council sub-committee on Leaving Certificate arrangements, having written to the Department of Education to express their views.
On Friday last (5th), Education Minister Norma Foley announced that planning is underway for a combination of Leaving Cert exams and an alternative assessment option. The exact details of this decision, which came about following intensive engagements of the sub-group of the Advisory Group of education stakeholders are yet to be worked out but it's believed that the State Examinations Commission would run both assessments,
Gorey students have widely welcomed this step forward, but are still seeking clarity.
