PROVIDENCE — The day after Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo surfaced as then President-elect Joe Biden's pick for commerce secretary, a representative of the "unofficial research arm of the Republican Party"  began poking into her ethics filings.
On Wednesday, Jason Gramitt, executive director of the Rhode Island Ethics Commission, confirmed a request from Allan Blutstein, senior vice president of America Rising, for Raimondo's financial filings during her four-year span as state treasurer.
