Our four Clan Leaders, senior lore women and men, decreed we were to enter into agreement on the red soil of Dharriwaa. I thought that place more than fitting, as it is the great Ullaroi overflow and ceremony site. The agreement-making meant many were to leave behind important lives entangled in other mobsâ lands, comfortable homes in shy rural townships, high-voltage hopes sparked across continents.
