I have over 10 years combined professional experience in radio production and communications for development. Using the skills and knowledge I gained as a Radio Producer both at a local radio station and then later at the BBC World Service, I have spent the last 10+ years designing, managing, implementing and assessing multifaceted development, media/communications and outreach projects in countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East including Tanzania, Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Rwanda, Nepal, Cambodia, Afghanistan, Yemen and Chad. A significant amount of this time has been spent working in countries with Government, media and civil society at the national, provincial and local level, managing local staff and providing training and mentoring to build the capacity of local production teams. My latest and greatest interest is using media and community engagement to shift social norms.
