Fundraiser brings smiles to face of Swaffham charity

A professional stand-up comedian has been providing extra smiles after he decided to raise vital funds for a mental health service.
Swaffham’s Russell Valentino Hall has raised £670 for the Merle Boddy Centre in the town, which supports those with mental health issues such as dementia.
Mr Hall set up a Facebook auction for the new PlayStation 5 games console which was released in November.

A spokesman for the Merle Boddy said the comedian was flooded with an amazing and generous audience participation from local supporters.
