Funding announced for multiple local heritage sites

Projects across all three counties will receive money for up[grade and maintenance works
Over €110,000 in funding has been allocated for the protection of heritage sites across the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
The funding, under the Community Heritage Grants scheme, will help safeguard and improve 13 sites across the region.
In the Shannonside region, Roscommon receives €34,000 for four projects, 11-thousand of which will go towards conservation works at Ryefield Church.

In Longford, over €11,000 will be put towards the Edgeworth Archive Digitization Project and in Leitrim €2,700 will be used for The Ice House Survey and Conservation Plan.
The funding was confirmed to local Minister Heather Humphreys by Minister of State for Heritage Malcolm Noonan.
