The Florida State Track and Field team will begin their championship season as they travel to Raleigh, N.C to compete in this year’s ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Thursday, Friday and Saturday inside Paul Derr Track.
The men’s and women’s team, which rank fifth and eleventh respectively on the latest USTFCCA NCAA Division l Outdoor Track & Field national polls, will enter the championship meet with 11 NCAA top-10 times and marks, including six that rank among the five-best in the nation and one that leads the NCAA.
Jo’Vaughn Martin, who ranks in the top 10 nationally in the 100 and 200 meters, will be competing in his first ACC Outdoor Championship while headlining the 200 meters event. Martin ranks No. 1 in the nation in the 100 meters with a personal-record time of 9.94, while sitting at No. 7 in the NCAA ranks for the 200 meters with a time of 20.22.
