Heather Fricke was recently named the principal at Mount Pulaski High School. She will serve in the position for the 2021-2022 school and replaces Terry Morgan who retired.
Fricke, who has served as the Technology Coordinator for the Mount Pulaski School District 23, recently completed a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership with a principal endorsement from the University of Illinois Springfield.
Fricke, a 1993 graduate of MPHS, said she is honored to serve and hopes to keep the MPHS experience active.
"When I think back on my own days at MPHS, I actually think of several things that I don’t want to change because my high school experience is part of what led me to where I am today. We are still a building with faculty and staff members who work diligently to do what is best for students. We are still a place where every student matters, has value, and makes their own unique contribution to our school community. Most importantly, MPHS has been and remains to be a place where genuine relationships are the foundation for everything else that occurs," wrote Fricke in an email.
