Staff report Mount Pulaski High School Bobby McDonough, son of Tammy and Bill McDonough of Mount Pulaski, has been named April-Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. During his time at MPHS, Bobby has stayed involved in extracurricular activities. He is a member of the Shotgun Team, Drama Club, and Pep Band, and Scholastic Bowl. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. Outside of school he is a member of SCTP and the Youth Bowling League. He also works for Lincoln and Macon Speedways. ....
Shelter Insurance Foundation and Corey Leonard sponsor scholarships The Courier This spring, the Shelter Insurance Foundation will award a $2,000 scholarship to a graduate of Lincoln High School and a graduate of Mount Pulaski High School. Committees of high school officials and community leaders will select the local recipients. The committees will consider each applicant’s scholastic achievements, educational goals, citizenship, moral character and participation and leadership in school and community activities. The scholarships will be given without regard to race, disability, religion, national origin or gender of applicants. The names of the recipients will be announced at the close of the school year. ....
The Courier Grant Davis, son of Jennifer and Ryan Davis of Mount Pulaski, has been named February-Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Davis stays actively involved in multiple athletics and organizations at MPHS. He has been a member of the Basketball and Baseball teams and a member of FFA for four years. He has participated in FCCLA for three years. He has been involved in NHS, Drama Club, and Student Council for two years, and a member of the Golf Team for one year. ....
Doerr is MPHS Senior of the Month The Courier Jaycie Doerr, daughter of Marsha and Scott Doerr of Elkhart, has been named January-Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Throughout her time at MPHS, Doerr has been actively involved in various clubs and organizations. She has been in Band, Scholastic Bowl, Spanish Club, Drama Club as a Student Director, and a member of the Softball team for four years. She has been a member of FFA as the reporter for three years, Student Council for two years, and National Honor Society for one year. She has also been named Spanish 1, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus student of the year. She also earned her Greenhand Degree in Ag. ....
