COLOMBO (News 1st); A Fundamental Rights Application was filed with the Supreme Court on Wednesday (19) against Basil Rajapaksa and Udayanga Weeratunga for their role in the COVID-19 spread in Sri Lanka.
The FR application notes that the coronavirus is spreading in Sri Lanka due to various activities carried out following their intervention including the arrival of tourists from Ukraine.
The FR applications were filed by Venerable Ulapane Sumangala Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Dharmayathana Viharaya, and The Former Secretary to the Presidential Commission on Serious Acts of Fraud and Corruption, Lacille de Silva.
