david webb and tom shillue welcome to the big weekend show. the big story tonight, biden stage fright. oh, boy. as the president rubs elbows with a stars at glitzy hollywood fund raiser he also prepared to freeze up we haven't seen that before maybe we have -- on stage and obama had to come to his rescue. fox news correspondent lucas tomlinson is at the white house tonight. >> good evening tammy that's right biden campaign claims it raised a record setting $30 million with hollywood's elite as well as former president barack obama. let's attack look at some of those selects who attended george clooney little oceans eleven reunion there and barbra streisand and jason bateman no cameras but video from one of the attendees has drawn scrutiny showing former president barack obama guiding biden by the hand. biden officials officials are dg claims that president froze according to poll reports biden warned trump is reelected he will point more conservative justices to the supreme court. quote, the next president is likely to have two new supreme court nominees. two more -- and referring to trump he said, quote, he's already appointed two that have been very negative in terms of right and individuals. not everyone was impressed with last night's show here's texas senator ted cruz on "sunday morning futures." >> look that's his base hollywood movies stars big tech billionaires that's who the democratic party is fighting for in california that's whos they care about people in bed with china that's who democrats care about but if you're talking a steel worker, taxi cab drivers a waiter waitress, democrat party long ago abandoned those workers. reporter: in comes days president biden is likely to be focusing more on his debate prep with the first debate with former president donald trump looming in less than two weeks. tammy. tammy: well a lot of hollywood selects at the fund raise very not exactly young. and isn't that who biden needs the most according to one democratic congressman there will be a new generation of leadership if biden wins in november. >> i will say this. this country is hungry after that for a new generation and we've got tremendous talent on our party and young people on the other side as well and i'm looking forward after president biden is reelected to a new generation leading this country. >> you know, it is fascinating to me tom no matter who gets elected there will be a new generation coming up we're not reliant on joe biden getting elected for that to happen. but i've always wondered especially with this embracement of hollywood, do you -- i'm wondering who is waiting to find out who barbra streisand and george clooney will vote for before we decide what's going on there? >> you left out some of the young folk there. you know you have julia roberts she's practically a teenager -- [laughter] no. it is -- it is really something and i don't know if he was this is a way he freezes up a lot. but i don't know if it is the mitch mcconnell freeze or kind of doing -- breakdances or something but he stops. you know and maybe he's trying to collect himself. it is cruel dragging him around to all of these things on a personal level i feel for the guy. i get tired. like you know, these days when i go out it is like i want to be home and get in bed by 9:30 or something but i'm not running for president right. i cannot imagine, someone in their 80s -- i know and, i mean, it is ridiculous. tammy: one thing i can assure you we don't have to lead you off the stage with a hand on your back wasn't taking him by the hand but arm around up to the back like moving hem along. what -- do you think this is -- going to get worse? how can they continue? >> i think it is elder abuse honestly. i have had an elderly father before with parkinson's but very familiar with neurological disease, and when i watch him freeze like that it does remind me of my dads not saying he has parkinson's but when your body freeze it is takes your brain a second to walk and think before you put one foot in front of the other that's what eve to deal with to get your body moving. it is like you have to turn on a switch okay it is time to walk but the fact that he is escorted hand is on a back that is a coddling sweet gesture but this is the president of the united states and once again, i would not be drag my etd -- elderly father to the event and he's like being abused. >> obama was signaling he's the president not joe biden. but i get nervous when we hear about age this about identity politics and that you've got to be a certain age in order to be functional and healthy but you can be any age so biden campaign does need younger voters and it needs younger celebrity backers here's something from "the wall street journal" david they've noted nature of this generational gap people who work in political fund raising say some selects in particular those in their 20s and 30s are ashoing politics during a divide time at a moment when war in gaza and doesn't offer history making appeal of president barack obama or hillary clinton. and isn't that kind of -- the problem? is that they were always looking at star power -- or political identity as oh posed to what do these people stand for? >> i mean there's a number of things one, do endorsement celebrity or political really move the needle? the thing is younger voters -- excuse me. younger voters are going to vote their interest in they vote at all that's a big problem of the turnout they probably do better with social media influencers. but they don't seem to have a history of moving younger voters and a little bit to what julie said let me ask a common sense question. would you trust joe biden to drive you to the grocery store? >> i wouldn't put my kids in the car with joe biden that's how i would gauge somebody in their mental moving at that points. >> would i let the children in the car with joe biden absolutely not. >> to add to that not that he's slowing down the process which younger people see if. visceral reaction that person vibrant but it is the slowness with which he then responds. not just the stiff but the slow. what you saw with macron and maloney was a very slow -- tammy: we're not slow but another top one to get to biden and in addition to worrying but now biden is down 20 points since last election in both michigan and pennsylvania. and black voters are thanking trump for doing what biden and obama did not. show up -- >> president trump so humble that you would be here, president obama never came to the hood. so to speak, right -- president joe biden he went to the big naacp dinner and never came to the hood so thank you. thank you. [applause] humbling really. thank you. my honor. >> yeah. so you know david really this -- this really what it's about for all americans. do you care enough to show up and when you look at the condition of your lives, you can ask that person what they're going to do. >> yeah. again back to their interest. what matters in detroit -- detroit by the numbers is a perfect place for donald trump to go. going to the 180 church they have about a 300 person congregation but it is where they are and what they represent. you have a city that's lost 34% of its population since 2000 before that, 25%. medium income in the high 20,000s you get the age demographic but a city around 78% black and failures that reflects so many other cities, so to go there and address it and look at the data and the outcomes of liberal progressive failures. not leadership, but failures all over the country and say as he said what the hell do you have to lose? tammy: now julie at the same time you know this is -- for people who know who failed them. isn't a sign of leadership that you're going beyond your base you're thinking not just politics of it but all americans in this case. >> i think democrats have been comfortable knowing that the middle class are going to vote for them. that tide completely changed now middle class, small business owners and 78% with which is, in fact, detroit is african-american. that's the community that the democrats are really truly losing and reason why, is because they can't afford to live anymore and can't afford to live on the salary you mentioned just now. who can cost of inflation. >> income is 20,000 less than the states per capita come on. >> but to become reliant on the government. tom we've got this which i think is also very interesting. i guess this is not rapper he's a detroit rapper here he is on why he's voting for trump. >> i don't vote based off personal feelings i don't agree with everything about president trump. i don't agree with 100% everything that anybody does. however, i'm not voting based off a personal feelings i'm voting based off personal experience. i've experienced trump as president i've experienced joe biden as president and i like the way -- i like trump as president more. >> excellent isn't that what it is about for most people tom. >> walter who said if you've lost i swear you have -- lost america. >> it is true that guy was like speaking for every american. >> he come on -- >> lost america. so interesting that donald trump is in a very interesting position now because he has -- he has cultivated maga america and red state america and they are in his camp so hard that he can now turn to them and say, hold my beer. i'm going to detroit. tammy: exactly it. >> i'm going to philadelphia. you know he now knows he can start experimenting. why don't i try this out and go to places like, you know -- places in the midwest i never thought i would, you know, minnesota, he wants to make that competitive. so then what do you have the current administration doing? >> people who work in hairen sloughs they live off tips. that's a commission based business. that's the whole reason that's where they get their money. and why would you want to screw over middle america those are your voters that's your base. and that's why i'm telling you, the fact that president trump former president trump is campaigning in these minority neighborhoods and middle class neighborhoods and low class neighborhoods first time with a republican really truly hunker down and focus on these communities and you know why? because all of those people in that community is, are having buyers remorse and voting republican simply because they want for one example be taxed on their tips but many, many more reasons all coming down to the economy. tom: david what do you think nevada could make a difference there. >> look i already give cash for tips why because i don't the government to know about it a lot of americans do that. this resonates with people not just people get in the tips but the people who give the tips. that way the server gets it. the government doesn't know. >> yeah. i never -- when the tip comes up on the app i'm thinking are they really getting this? show now politicians are being blamed for the senseless death of another mother of five in maryland after an illegal immigrant was arrested in her murder. >> the murderer of rachel beautiful mother of five raped and beat her in el salvador and joe biden rather than getting serious about immigrant crime is about to give amnesty to more than a million illegal aliens. >> the sheriff in her community agrees fox news chief correspondent jonathon hunt has the update tonight from los angeles. >> david the murderer of rachel last august left resident fearful and law enforcement officials angry. the arrest on friday a victor antonio hernandez had fear and in maryland they made it clear. >> i want him to die in a maryland prison system. we don't have the death penalty so i just hope he spengdz rest of his days there. >> rachel went for a run last august on a trail in bel-air. that's about 30 miles northeast of baltimore. she never came home. her body was found next day on the trail. police got a dna match from a home invasion here in l.a. in march 2023. in which several people including a young child were assaulted. but the suspect disappeared. that changed friday when police arrested hernandez in tulsa, oklahoma originally he's from el salvador entered the u.s. in february 2023. crossing the southern border illegally. the county sheriff blamed the white house and members of both parties in congress for not doing enough to tackle illegal immigration. a point he reiterated on "fox & friends" morning. we need to do a better job in this country of securing our borders. at least try to do it and not what we're seeing from our federal government. this should not have been allowed to happen. the border through all administrations is an issue. congress needs to address it. the understand that's the way they think but look at the quotes here wild and frightening and not normal. authoritarian, and end of democracy i don't know if this is beginning to work anymore because he was president for four years. in 2016 they could say, it's unprecedented and then they could play some footage of him at the rallies say and take him out of context say he's going to end democracy and most look back and they say you know i was better then or a lot better then and scare tactics i don't think they're going to work. >> tammy this ises four versus four years of trump pretty much four years of biden "the washington post" according to their numbers and their senior editors have lost half their readership is this kind of rage frothing going to rise? >> this is to tom's point this is a personal meltdown it happens to be in their job. they're not recognizing it at all this is probably what they talk about at home or at their cocktail parties this is why the democrats want to legalize pot everywhere. i think billed season on his way to do that because they want you poor and high. or -- to relax while you're watching zoo channel. so this i think is -- is part of it is
