rain. >> ainsley: yesterday was the house oversight subcommittee talking about healthcare and talking about trans women competing in women's sports. and so they had several women leaders to talk to congress. they were called in as witnesses to discuss joe biden's proposed changes to title ix. riley gaines was made famous. she was the swimmer, competed against a transgender lia thomas. and she was number one and fell, her rankings fell to number two. because lia thomas decided as a trans woman that she wanted to compete in women's sports. >> steve: the vice chairwoman of this particular committee, summer lee, a democrat from pennsylvania, in her opening remarks, she accused riley gaines and other witnesses of being transphobic in their opening remarks. keep in mind, this hearing was all about changes to title ix, which would outlaw banning trans students from playing on different teams. so, reilly heard what the vice chairwoman said about her being transphobic and shot her back with this. >> although the title of this hearing implies a much needed discussion. we're likely going to be forced to listen to transphobic bigotry, forcing a transgender child to choose between living authentic life and playing a game is cruel. while we sit through this hearing and hear the hateful information i'm sure is going to come our way. let us not forget that children are at the core of this issue. >> there is a place for everyone, regardless of gender identity, regardless of sexual orientation, regardless of race or what sports you play. there is a place for everyone to play sports in this country. but unsafe, unfair and discriminatory practices towards women must stop, inclusion cannot be prioritized over safety and fairness and ranking member lee, if my testimony makes me transphobic, then i believe your opening monologue makes you a misogynist. >> steve: wow. >> brian: women's rights matter. aoc came out and said if you want to do that have all women play against women imagine that or men. all it face gentle examinations if biological men are barred from female sports. she clearly does not understand or never signed up a kid for sports. you cannot sign up for anything without a birth certificate. whether you are 5 or 15. and that would pretty much handle the under carriage testing procedure. so that's handled. try to find another objection, please. >> lawrence: you know the ranking member lee is one of the latest members of the squad. >> steve: yes, she is. >> lawrence: one of those new members. i just don't think there is enough even women speaking up on this issue. you know, we only have a limited amount of trans biological males that are competing now. there is only a matter of time before there is more. and there is no better example than in my home city of dallas, texas where you have the 15-year-old boy soccer team that defeat the national champions, the world champion female soccer team. they are 15 years old. but there is something just fundamentally different. not with the brain, but with the makeup of the boys. and, you know, brian, you got mike coming up, former seal team 6 member there was a big push, probably still is, to have female operators in there. well, you don't want a woman in a stack having to charge through the doors. it just doesn't make sense from a biological standpoint. does that not mean that a woman can't be a commander and talk about military strategy and what to do on the ground? but, putting people in different situations when they have different makeup doesn't make. >> brian: not fair to other women. >> ainsley: doesn't make sense that women are arguing for transgender women to play when title ix was put in place to protect women. so these are women that are supposed to be protecting other women but, yet, biological men are taking their spots. >> steve: wiley gaines is going rileygaines is going to be talkg about this come up in the 8:00 hour of "fox & friends." >> lawrence: still ahead, president trump setting a vision for america in his iowa town hall and hits back at biden. >> i see biden talking about oh, maga, maga. maga means make america great again. that's what it means. they want to see our country be great again. right now we are not a great country. we are a country in decline. >> lawrence: our live studio audience was watching this and they
