>> well, two thoughts. one is that i thought the attack today, that killed three people, that hamas took credit for, it seems to me it was a parallel to the original attack on israel, which, again, took place when secretary of state blinken was there and trying to work on a deal to establish some kind of peace. hamas clearly does not want peace. they don't want a two-state solution. they want the end of israel. i mean, it's crazy. but, anyway, that's what they want. i think that's why you are going to see this kind of ongoing violence. >> in terms of the political picture here at home, president biden has been solidly supportive of israel. i think that has scrambled a lot of the political dynamics here because republicans are also supportive of israel in general. and want to, in fact, increase the support. but you see them now saying well, are we seeing any signs of softening of president biden's support for israel. as he tries to get a deal. but getting a deal and trying to move forward i think is essential because at some point the fighting is going to be done and the question is where do we go? >> well, one of the things about the cease-fire to jason's point. hamas uses a cease-fire to think about what it wants to do and regroup. israel is also able to do that during a cease-fire to reassess how it's pursuing things. israel seems to want to just be able to do what they need to do without handcuffing it. a good way to help. it does seem like the biden administration is trying to dictate a lot about how that goes. >> tonight on fox a unique political event, two up and coming governors, one a current presidential candidate and one seen as a future presidential candidate. there it is, newsom, desantis, heavyweight bought with hannity in the middle of it. jason, your thoughts?
