concern as well. a remarkable story i've pastored in atlanta, church of apostles and there are three ways to look at this. there are some in the christian world that are saying the bible wrong. there are lgbqt issues and i've even heard bishops call homophobes here or there is a middle position especially concerned as i am to say, we are misinterpreting the bible of the sentries and the bible doesn't say the what lgbqt issues and then there's a third position mine which is to say that god's word is god's word. and god's nature doesn't change. the bible can ever mean what it never meant and so our colas to speak that truth to the culture appear that is our greatest gift to give the culture. the challenge is to do that in a way that is compassion and grace, clarity and with courage. >> shannon: yeah, and the people, talk about controversial issues, i always remind the bible says we are to love god with her heart and mind and love our neighbors as ourselves. that means we cannot go around judging everyone but to love and respect them, treat them with kindness. you, by the way kind enough to look at my new book coming out about women in the bible and what we can learn from them. there's been a conversation about women in the church and their place. deborah is one of my favorite people in the bible because she is a leader of israel and leads them into a battle. she is the leader of the whole nation. she is a woman appeared so we can see from her. i sand the bible she spoke truth in the book. with competence and didn't try to minimum lies but chose to believe in god's faithfulness. to me, she's a great example of god valuing leadership. >> a terrific book by the way and the best i have seen into space. and it goes to a point my wife makes. she is a wonderful bible teacher. you might be able to say that women are not allowed to lead but what you can't say is they are not able to lead. deborah would be eisenhower, reagan, john roberts, billy graham and chris hall and hall and all-in-one. she was a worship leader, artist, activist, a leader and she balanced compassion for encourage in a way that is a great model for us today. >> shannon: welcome i hope that
